We would love to see Dr. Ramani on the Narcissist Slayers Podcast!
What is the difference between Silent Treatment and just shutting down from Exhaustion? My Narc Ex abandoned us, refused to give us closure, left us in a suspended state for months and then took all the money out of the joint account leaving us without a penny to buy food. I threw in the towel, decided I wasn't going to let him abuse us anymore and filed for divorce and after that I lost all interest in talking to him at all. He has not shown or expressed any remorse to this day. I often ask myself if it would even matter to me at this point if he didn't exist. I don't know the answer to that. What I do know is that my brain feels so exhausted that I don't even feel like thinking about him or anything related to him at this point. Just want Peace in Life without him. If that is the same as Silent Treatment then I have to say it feels pretty good compared to constantly feeling stressed out and being in emotional pain around him and I have absolutely no desire to break this Silence.
There is such a double standard. All a woman has to say is the man did something, and he goes to jail. A man could have video evidence and a signed confession, and he still goes to jail
If there's children involved document everything. The Narc will put their foot in their mouth GUARANTEED. Especially if they commit pejury under oath. It's that simple. They'll lie to Judges, Magistrates, Police, Cps, Social workers, medical providers, teachers, family, friends and sadly their own children like it's nothing. They'll keep on going on and on like Erykah Badu until they back themselves in a corner. If someone sees their true colors they'll pout like a child. Narcissist and Parental Alienation Abuse is just like any other disease it has NO gender. How many people have lost their lives because of this. How many children's lives destroyed. It's detrimental to a child's health. In the end the children suffer the most. The Narc can't see that their abusing their own children.
I'm recovering from Narcissist Abuse and Parental Alienation Abuse as well. I should join that would be really nice... I'm pretty sure if someone lies about Parents and their children that makes them the Narcissist right. Narcissists blame you for things they actially did and you didn't right. Pin the children against, lack empathy, false sense of entitlement, mirroring, manipulation, controlling, false reports to get their way like a child but the #1 thing they can NEVER be honest because their a terrible human being and don't have it in them. They lie so much you can see right thru them like crystal clear water in Greece. Pure Evil that can go straight to HELL.
What about the moms that alledge false allegations of S.A. of your child and say you did it or someone close to you... she's not doing it because she was abused. She's doing it to get back at a person and trying to get full custody.
There is no smoke without fire. All allegations of abuse MUST be investigated and not dismissed.
Thank you for having me on as a guest and sharing Refining Rust with your audience! It was a comfortable conversation talking about tough topics. Thank you for the work you do.
Thank you for your amazing interview and putting this book into the world!

Help.ive been in this for 11 yrs...,been a prisoner being controlled by her hru my mother and and my mother who has just had a strok...I have PTSD and she knows all my triggers....been with her before our daughter had been 3 months ......and use her to control me belittling and gas ligting...she has been worse since etting a large inheritance...that she blow and uses me and my familys money......help
He even turned the parental coordinator against me somehow. She told my daughter she's lying and just remembers it wrong!!!
This is exactly what I'm going through. I already won custody when our daughter was two and now he beat her so I tried to change it to supervised visitation and he refused and instead he decided to sue me for full custody again accusing me of alienation and obviously completely denying the abuse and saying I made it up after bending over backwards for him for ten years to keep him in her life. Why would I out of nowhere become a bitter lier and just decide he can't see her anymore? I have been driving her a state away every month for years until school then gave him almost every holiday birthday and school break giving him extra days and even extra weeks if his mom or dad were in town. Now I'm getting sued again and I'm contempt again because everyone believes him. Well everyone that doesn't know me. Hopefully the judge sees through him.
i'm tired of ppl going out of their way not to offend men when men are the perpetrators over 90% of the time. It's men.
B.S. thanks alot. Women do this too, no matter the numbers, nobody should be excluded. Shame on you.
It's called coddling and the Family Court judges are notorious for going out of their way to coddle abusive men. It makes no sense. Something very FISHY going on in the Family Court System for sure

Great episode!
LIKE and SUB. A woman with two little girls from a previous marriage kept calling me”MR. Wonderful”WITH Notes and newspaper really massaged my ego or self esteem. At the coffee shop I PUT Forward that we should “WAIT A YEAR”BECAUSE I WAS DIAGNosed BIPolar just a couple years before and I WANTED To bond with the girls and us as a couple. I Folded when she pushed back the suggestion and we were married summer 1990 then after serial separations she filed for divorce after 27 years and finalized the end of 2016. Both young women developed a very oppositional and antisocial personality. I SENT THEM To get treatment but they both became addicted to drugs and had their firstborn sons removed by Child PRotective Services; the X and I BECAME Foster PARENTS For the oldest and the younger grandson was settled in los angeles somewhere so they had more children with the new boyfriends and were given METHADone Treatment. They are Al “SCREAMERS”AND I AM THE opposite so they kept triggering my hospitalization where I HAD SHock therapy among other things. I PURSUED Counseling for our marriage but she had to choose one that she talked with first to get her side of the story and manipulate the Counselor. I AM No Contact for eight years and the thought of a new relationship makes me absolutely sick all over. I AM SIXTY TWo years on Disability since 1994. The isolation of the PANDEMIC KIlled my spirit and I AM FAILING to thrive IN THIS World order. I HAVE UNPAID RENT AND I WIll be ÜNHoused.
Of course couples counseling didn't work. Now dealing with him tampering with therapy of the children. I am forced to coparent with a narcissist. It's actually counterparenting when you have to share kids with a narc. Can you please talk about how we can handle an ex legally that is violating court mandated children's therapy because they were confronted gently by the children's therapist. They unilaterally terminated the therapist. The kids are suffering as a result of this narcissistic parents' extremely toxic behaviors.
It sounds like you are being dupped into narcissistic reversal and parental alienation. If you are not promoting shared parenting, you are part of the problem
It's odd that you have pri.arily female clients. There are definitely both, but more abuse in the courts seems to be perpetrated the other way. (For reasons that are situational to our society, I think.)
You really should get TWO microphones
So most of the women are the victims 🙄🙄
Yeap, and they make false allegations over and over and lie about you to absolutely everyone
I have been dealing with court abuse since our divorce. We have two small children and he has taken most custody by lying and manipulating the system. It’s been nine years of non stop abuse and the court allows him. He now filed a restraining order on behalf of our children against one of my sons from a previous marriage because he is gay and he can’t stand the fact that our ten year old loves his brother. I’m desperate, he broke our family for the holidays. Please help
