What are your tips for staying fit after the age of 30?
Yes to seasoning chicken in 2024! But awareness to premade seasonings that have msg - especially things like taco seasoning or Tex mex! I can predict an anxiety spiral within 24 hours of consuming that
I agree to be discerning about the contents of the pre-made stuff. I am okay with things like MSG in moderation. But that just comes down to knowing your body and if you need to avoid certain things. So, good on you!

What kind of unrealistic expectations are you putting on yourself?
Expectations can create a constant sense of inadequacy, leading to burnout and the feeling that no matter how much you do, it’s never enough. Focus on doing your best, feeling good (mentally, physically, emotionally) and the rest falls into place :)
@@ADeliberateLife I couldn't agree more. That discrepancy of expectations either cause enough pain to motivate you to action or it can be the thing that derails your best intentions. I'm currently working towards making my goals situated around playing the "infinite games" like Simon Sinek talks about. Example: Changing my Jiu-Jitsu goals from wanting a black belt to just simply doing Jiu-Jitsu for as long as possible - I win every single time I show up. This sets me up for more continuous days of success.
@@JustinMBurch Yes! Sounds similar to what I use, which is the lowest barrier for entry for any of the practices I do (ie; min 30 sec cold plunge max 5 min). this allows me to maintain that consistency no matter the energy and time constraints might be. Cant rely on motivation either, we're creatures of habit and want comfort. Build discipline/habits and you'll get break out of that and have the life/body/health you love!

Very insightful video especially for single people. But when you are a dad of two like i am, going the gym consistently requires a warrior mindset. I wake at 5.30 to be at the gym at 6a.m, 3 times a week (keeping the gym close to home help with that routine) and what i struggle with is exactly what you mentioned: meal prep. Having a family meal prep is very very hard. coz it means mostly cooking twice, especially with kids under 10. I'm rn making a meal plan to know what i'm going to be eaten day after day so i can be preparing some things in advance. That will work for me but not meal prep. Thanks for the video.
That's a great point! Having kids definitely calls for some extra considerations/planning. It sounds like you're being proactive in putting your plan together, that will save you when you don't feel like thinking about it when the week gets busy. Keep going! It sounds like you're setting a great example for your kids about how to reach your goals despite the responsibilities we still have to tend to. Great work! 💪🏻
