beyond cool!
Thanks!
My favorite "Easel" channel, learning a lot, even if Chase Bliss pedals remain complete mystery to me. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much. Still learning it and I suppose it's a lifelong journey. Haha, the Bliss pedals are a mystery to me too.
BEST!
Thanks!
It is always a pleasure to watch you play, Alan. Your use of pedals and effects is truly impressive.
Thank you! I try to treat the pedals as instruments in their own right :)
Only CB and AG played and didn’t block a shot.
If Payton can even demand a sag off instead of being completely ignored by defense it will be huge for our spacing.
That closing lineup was fun as fuck.. The Russ, CB, Mike, Hunter, Zeke minutes weren’t horrifying either.
The TH-cam gods blessed me with this recommendation. Subbed 👌
Yeah :)
Hey! Damn this is so sweet, well done! I'll listen to it again.
Thank you! :)
Choice easel performance
Thanks! Even with its limits, it's a tough beast to master.
@@alansmithee8903 Are you syncing it with the pedals? What is the non-easel side of the setup? Thank you
@@no_talking Yes, I’m using the Torso S-4 as the clock, sending it to a Chase Bliss MIDIBox, and from there to the effect pedals and the Easel.
very nice. what pedals were being used?
Thank you. I'm using Chase Bliss: Blooper, Habit and Mood mk2.
Great performance
Thank you!
Sounds great
Thanks!
Incredible!!
Thank you!
Great performance !
Thank you!
Häpnadsväckande episkt! Mycket inspirerande.
Tusen tack! :)
Love the last clip in particular! Looks like Braids, Marf, 258, 261, 266, 281, 292? Do you feel like you got a lot of mileage out this setup? I also have an easel and am looking into getting a 10 panel case, mostly for glitchy percussion stuff like this and some tonal melodic stuff here and there, but the choices are getting to be a bit overwhelming!
Thank you! And yes, except it’s not a 261, but a 25s. And then the DAO as the Braids x2. Unfortunately, I don't have the modular setup anymore, only the Easel (or actually two Easels, BEMI and 208P). But I do miss it and will get it again at some point. I guess everyone's journey is different. I started with only 4U, then 5U. Honestly, I think I was most creative with only 5U. But with the Marf, it became 10U. Lots of fun, and I think the Marf is my favorite module. At 15U, there wasn't that much output. More fiddling, which is fun of course, but my experience is that I was much more creative with 5U and 10U. Next time I’ll go for 5, 8 or 10U. Good luck!
@@alansmithee8903 Thank you for the info!
Most enjoyable!
Thank you!
wow that was cool!
Thank you!
Sounds great. Case looks smart too , who made that ? Thanks
Thank you! It's a Samodular 8U case. www.samodular.com/bword-cases-and-parts/bword-cases-2-row/
@@alansmithee8903much obliged
Cool sound and picture! Can you tell a little bit about how you are filming? What camera do you use? Thanx!
Thank you. I’m just using an old Panasonic Lumix GM1 and their 20mm lens. Nothing fancy :)
Thank you!💥
Yes, this I like 🤩
Thank you :)
I keep coming back to this video, just ordered a MARF so it's getting me excited.
Excellent! You'll love it .
@@alansmithee8903 How come you sold, or did you just get out of Buchla entirely?
Realised that the Easel was enough for me with limited time (and budget). But I’m sure I’ll get back to it one day because I do miss it. Just have to figure out the time & budget thing :)@@thezyg6311
Where did you order the marf from?
@@no_talking I got it from here when I had it: www.samodular.com/product/248s-marf/, but also coming soon here: sourceofuncertainty.com/products/model-248
ACE!
awesome.............amazing that you've kept something so potentially hugh and powerful to a minimal, nuanced and intimate canvas, really drawing the listener in...................bravo...............(great stereo field as well)
Thank you so much. I usually have a tendency to go bananas when I play at home (love those Buchla bongos), but here I couldn’t hear myself very well, so needed to keep it soft and mellow to be able to navigate on what was going on :)
It was a great session. I have a close friend who recently sold his Easel, so I was curious about this upload.........great stuff (feel free to stop by my channel, all improv, 'ambient' type synth stuff)
Nice! I'l check it out.@@willswitchcraft
thanks
so good!
Thank you! :)
Cool performance, great sound!
Thank you! :)
great! looking forward to the new album
Thanks x2 :)
Very nice performance
Thanks you! Appreciate it.
Very nice this!
Thank you! And btw, your sequencer card seems amazing. Must get one, hopefully soon.
Wow
Do prefer the 208p over the BEMI?
When it comes to the raw sound, I do prefer the 208P. But I also do love the functionality with the 218e of the BEMI and its arpeggiator, midi clock etc.
This was great. Thanks for posting!
Thank you! Also btw, I'm a huge fan of your music :)
@@alansmithee8903❤
always a good day when you upload new stuff!
Thank you! Cheers :)
You do my favorite easel music - haunting
Thank you!
@@alansmithee8903 Which easel do you have? Is it the BEMI? Thank you
@@no_talking Yes, this is the BEMI.
A very interesting and tempting piece of future gear 😮 😂… well played 👍
Early crew.
Cool video. If you miss your MARF you might enjoy using the DMT Audio module in Cherry Audio's Voltage Modular. If you have a DC coupled interface you could send the voltages out to other gear. I'm sure it's not as fun as the hardware but can still produce some good results.
Thanks! And cool, I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip.
Great patches!! Thanks for sharing.
