I've decided to throw away my Apollo interface. Even the machines that are made for windows (USB 3) still have driver issues. I've been using UA for a few years now. Great sounding but can't get thru a single session without a dropout. RME all the way. U will never have a problem. Superior in every way

What's the current state on this problem? Any new fixes? New updates?

What speed should the USB 3.0 cable be?

can confirm that ASIO Link Pro Tool worked for me the UAD hardware is amazing but the software setup is the worst part about it. i think i went through all common issues such as updating bios, ordering thunderbolt 4 sable and card aswell as trubbleshooting another common issue that many ppl had with 2023 october update of win 11, and fully reinstalling uad software, missing a step such as unplugging your UAD audiointerface while it installing until it prompts you to restart is one that is way to easy to miss out on which caused my UAD not to work, i had to fully reinstall it by removing all of it content from %appdata%

So i got it to work the problem is on discord my mic has periodic events where it seems to not pick up any signal and then continue shortly after a couple seconds anyonoe else experiences this and have a fix

... and if you done everything same but still have no sound (no mic sound) - go check Windows prefs - Privacy & Security - Microphone - and check Apps that have permissions (especially Desktop Apps checkbox is a must)

Frustrated I upgraded my computer to PC Win 11 with a ASUS Pro-Art 790. The MB supports TB 3 but how do I connect my Apollo Twin X with TB2 ?. I tried the Apple TB 3 to TB 2 but my MB doesn't see my Apollo. ( yes TB is set to ON in the BIOS ) Any help would be appreciated

I had nearly the exact same experience as you: buying an Apollo product, and a Thunderbolt expansion card, not realizing my motherboard was incompatible with the Thunderbolt expansion card that I had installed... I wish I had seen this video a few months ago... lol my bad

This worked for me but I am on the verge of going back to RME. This is just ridiculous how 3 years later and the same issues are being reported. I just got an Apollo Twin X for the plugins and more output control with UAD console and there has been nothing but issues so far on Windows 11. First, I have to change the bitrate every time I start Windows then change it back otherwise there is a driver issue. If I turn off the interface after Windows is started, even if I turn the interface back on, I MUST restart. And now, unless I use some 3rd party software from a dead guy, there is terrible crackling from the mic input. How is this even being marketed as a Windows product?

However, I fixed the sound and microphone problem to 90%. Sorry for the long summary, I'm just not sure what to do because I can't Register the Twin X on UA ​​connect. Do you know how I can do that? Which CPU and MOBO did you buy? Does your MOBO have a TB3 connection on the IO or did you use an add-in TB card? Looking at the Twin X Thunderbolt too, but now debating between Ryzen 5900x and ASUS Proart B550 mobo or to go with Intel

I got windows 10 with a usbc port. So i got a adapter for my thunderbolt 3 cord, I tried updating the firmware and downloaded the update for thunderbolt driver and the computer says the ua device may not work properly and ua connect app doesn't recognize the interface

i have a windows pc..so can i not just buy the uad and plug in a use? or so i need a thunderbolt thing etc lol
