Okay, so people criticized the DCEU movies before WW84 of being action heavy, dark, and serious without there being much point to all of that action, and the writing and themes being handled badly. This video conveniently ignores the first Wonder Woman movie, which was praised for excellent action scenes, better writing and character development, a better color palette than just black and gray, etc. 84 gets shat upon for completely ignoring the tone of the first movie, insane plot points like a fully fueled jet in a museum, horrid visual effects, undefined powers, cheesy Saturday morning cartoon action scenes, and a villain plot that makes none of the sense. Also, Marvel gets plenty of criticism. Black Panther got dinged for lackluster CG, the antagonists with the same powers end battle trope, some of the set design choices, and the inclusion of silly ideas like freaking war rhinos. The problem with DC is they won't leave their creatives alone and give them time. Whenever they've done that, especially on TV and in animation, the result has been stellar shit that defines generations. Though in this particular case, imput from someone else might have helped.
