Hello Very nice video, it is such a cool car. I am from Germany and bought a 450SL from 1980 like yours but mine got a lot more miles and i rebuild the engine in summer. But my SL needs still to much petrol. I spend a lot of time in it and i can not find construction drawings of the vacuum system. Can you send me detail pictures of the 1980's 450SL engine? The importants vacuum connections are around the warm-up regulator and it would be very nice when i get overview pictures and pictures of details with the vacuum connections from your 450 SL. Thank You very much! greetings from Germany!
It is incompetent behaviour to floor the pedal when starting this engine with fuel injection.

Yes, they are true cold starts. Now, they have typically been started the day before, some cars if they sit for a few days/weeks take a little more priming.
