Crib Goch Snowdon, with mountain a Month
Dont take this film as a model, If you end up in deep darkness on any of the hills, you started at the wrong time. Start time (high summer) is best as late in the afternoon as possible. That depends on the mountain fitness of the weakest member of the party. Experienced, fit mountain walkers can start at 1800 hours. That makes you descending the Ben in dusk and starting up Scawfell in the very early morning with the light rising as you hit the slopes. Really fit people can do all the walking in under 8 hours which leaves plenty of time for the driving and eating.
@@cdraynes5129 you clearly have no idea. All companies start at 0800. To incorporate the weekend. As people work during the week. Stupid comment
@@MrFrank1tank They are mountains. Many of the people who do the Three Peaks Challenge are in terms of general mountain walking experience, limited. Being, as a matter of choice, on any of the three, in darkness and possibly quickly developing very adverse weather, is not a wise action. My advice stands, it is sound and based on very many years of experience. Start times of people at work are of no relevance.
@@cdraynes5129 your watching a video of me doing the national 3 peaks. I dont invite you to do it at night. Im a mountain leader so i have a little experience navigating during the night. Bore off
@@MrFrank1tank What an odd outburst safe in your anonymity. Why are you so threatend by someone having a different view to you of the relative merits of the start time for the 3 peaks? Bizarre. I have made my point even if, with your probably fake claim to being a "mountain leader", you just dont get it. Leadership in mountains involves considering the capabilities of the whole party and particularly the weakest. You have failed to grasp the point, it is not wether you or me can navigate on the mountains at night in possibly bad weather. It is about the capabilities of those young people with little mountain experience, who so frequently attempt the experience. Those inexperienced people can be misled (by you )into potentailly seriouis , even life threatening ,danger , if they follow your advice and end up wet and cold in a black night on one of the hills. There is no need to do that, a late afternoon start time is safer. All mountains get climbed in daylight. For anyone who is mountain fit, the three hills are relatively undemanding and with modern roads and vehicles, the driving is very easy, with time to stop and eat properly. For anyone who is inexperienced and not fit, it is a really difficult thing to do, potentially dangerous. I will say no more. others can judge you. I certainly have.
T H A N K Y O U ! I want to do this next year & this is W I L D !
Some crusty toes there lad
Sandals 😅
Great video very sensible attitudes towards the climb and good to see correct gear being used...
It's an odd challenge this one. It's not all about a person's physical ability, it's also about how fast you can drive between 3 mountains. What if your vehicle breaks down or you get held up by a traffic accident? I've always thought the Yorkshire 3 Peaks to be a better test of stamina. 3 much smaller summits but a 25 mile continuous trek, under your own steam, carrying your food and water - with no chance of sleeping in the back of a car or minibus for hours at a time between climbs.
Taking from a local mountain instructor you got that route totally wrong 😂
You're not a mountain instructor
¿Qué tipo de comida sirven a la hora del almuerzo? Gracias por el video!
Hai brother. Where did you buy rental the climbing gear ?
I brought it all with me
@@MrFrank1tank Is there any rental option there?
@@dragonmani7210 not sure sorry
My old stomping ground in the 60s70s we did all the through trips to Masgill Giants all on ladder and lifeline
Big day out pre rigging all that gear.
Just out of interest why didnt you use the additional bolts at the top of pitch 2 to protect yourself at the pitch head and also the back up stake on the surface?
We did use the bolts on that. We also didnt use the inital stake as we felt safe using cows tales cheers
It’s been a quite long time over this review done. Can you please tell us about the durability, pros and cons?
Excellent thank you 👍
Thanks 👍
Great trip out for you guys.

Well done! ... but what an absolute dingbat that guy was, climbing a mountain in sandals! Did you come down Snowdon on the Llanberis path? Hoping to do this in June.
Nice one mate..been wanting to check that one off for a while 👍
Nice one Riley! It was a truly enjoyable adventure! 😎🤘
Cheers matey loved it
It's not called Bristly Ridge' - it's called 'y Grib Ysgythrog.' Please respect our heritage.
If it's not called that then don't watch it. It's clearly not for you but outdoor active and other mapping systems mark it down as that so go and complain to them and when they change it my video will be outdated
@Rileys outdoor adventure Have done Bristly Ridge a few times and have seen loads of posts/ videos etc etc and have never seen it being referred to as what's above. I'm also from North Wales and siarad Cymraeg, it's Bristly Ridge😁
Its called Bristley Ridge- a stout English name to be proud of.
Get a life mate
😂😂😂
Hafn y Grib Ysgythrog not Sinister gully. It s the English invaders who are Sinister trying to remane all our rocks gullies etc in your own image
Bore off
Y Grib Ysgythrog not Bristly ridge
Yes it is bristly ridge
Y grib 😂🤣?? its defo sinister, great grade 1 for beginners! some people! lol
Такой ужасный английский акцент!
Thank you for your insult
It will help if you stated the year of the Transit smh 🤨

Good find lol 😆
Mega mate, buzzing to be a part of it 💪
Just found your video a mechanic fitted a new fuel filter on my van at weekend and whilst cranking engine over for fuel the start motor burnt out so this video has helped me incase I need to fit the new one myself
Nice one glad it can help. Only 3 bolts although they are tight. Vans still going good since the video so happy with it
Great day !
Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you cheers
Danger of death , makes it more exciting 😄
Reinventing the wheel haha
Good video
Rugged Hike. Thumbs up
Have you tried these boots at temperatures as low as -25C or altitude ranges of 4000 to 6000 meters? Would it be warm enough at conditions like that?
I haven't tried these boots but it sounds like it would be too much. 4000 meters is possible, but -25 celsius I doubt.
Im going tomorrow to do halls fell ridge. Decided to give it a go as I’m not a fan of heights and couldn’t ever do sharp or striding edge but thought this one might be a little bit more friendly to me 🤷♀️😱
I think there both grade 1 scrambles, I always felt they were roughly the same in exposure or skill needed. Have you tried sharp edge. If you do halls fell I'd say carry on you'll love it. If you ever fancy joining us we Do a monthly hike around the lakes and a monthly scramble your more than welcome
@@MrFrank1tank hi guys. Thanks for that. I feel sharp edge is just too much for me hence why I thought I’d try halls fell. I’ll sub your channel so I can keep an eye out on your walks and would be defo up for joining one or two for sure. Much appreciated. Emma
Here's our Facebook link for upcoming walks. facebook.com/groups/247377722898222/?ref=share
Hey mate my van has the incorrect battery in it. Is yours a 096 battery or do you know the correct code battery it should be? There’s 3 different sizes to choose from. Thanks
Eurocar parts was where I got mine from. Put your vehicle reg and they will direct you to the right one
How does the boots hold against heavy rain and the insulation aspect of the boots?
Hey The boot is very warm with good fitting all round. I have been using bees wax as well and not had any issues.
