'Unique marketing campaign' is a euphemism for preying on people's desire to believe in order to make a buck. Pretending to be multiple people online that converse with yourself for the sake of deceiving others is sociopathic. Congrats, you tricked a bunch of people as if you were a ten-year old boy. Pathetic.

The Frank Oz quote at 3:14 nailed it. In a movie, the actors can't come out and take a bow. If their characters die, they're dead. Also, a stage presentation puts distance between the audience and the characters. You're never up in Ellen Greene's innocent, adorable face. Killing Seymour would have been depressing. Killing Audrey would have been devastating and cruel.

The way I first met Yuri: We were casting a character for a motion comic at Tokyopop. I kept referencing the "Prince of Persia" voice performance as similar to what I wanted for the role. Ben, who was audio, said "Do you want to get the Prince of Persia?" A few days later, Yuri was there in our recording booth.

It's always great to learn about the talented and dedicated people who make things work behind the scenes!

Personally I feel like the changes they made to the movie’s plot made Seymour too sympathetic for the original ending to feel like it’s justified. Rick Moranis plays him very passively and meekly, compared to the stage show where he’s much more active in the killing and acts like what we today would call a “nice guy” towards Audrey.

I knew this « problem » for Indiana Jones, but didn’t notice it for The Batman 🤔 well at least Bruce Wayne has a psychological change throughout the movie, and i guess he helped saving a few people at the end of the film :)

Reese Witherspoon was slated for this too?! 😮 It’s a choice…but think HBC was better suited for it although RW would have brought something interesting to the roll too. Check out the movie “Freeway”.

So thankful he didn't. It would have been as mindnumbingly boring as those attrocious "Lord of the Rings" movies. Total sausagefests.

I'm actually glad this wasn't the actual ending. Not only does it show all our main cast die and humanity being over run by kaiju-sized carnivorous plants; but it ends on a less then stelar musical number.

Well said! If there was a better understanding of the "why" you do what you do and how it impacts the overall big picture in terms of quality, saving time and money I think more productions would get with the program. Nice interview!
