Yes, my sister, this is Dr. Darlington Egbu from Imo State, but resides in the Washington, DC area of the USA. Asaba, Igbouzo(Ibusa), Okpanam and all the Asaba surrounding towns and villages are rapidly growing/developing for two major reasons: 1) The instability in Nigeria, and 2) the instability in the Southeast states. With these two reasons, probably more, the Southeasterners prefer to invest across the river Niger, thus Asaba and its environs/metro area. As we all know, investments bring development, and that creates jobs and boosts the economy of the area (Asaba). The downsides of all the above is the demand for properties like land for development and apartment rentals, which in turn raise the cost-of-living space, including transportation.
