Sand Creek Massacre
Just days after Thanksgiving in 1864, the Sand Creek Massacre marked one of the darkest moments in U.S. history. Despite promises of peace, Cheyenne and Arapaho people were brutally attacked by soldiers under Colonel John Chivington. In this episode, we explore the broken treaties, betrayal, and haunting legacy of this tragedy. Join me as we uncover the history of Sand Creek and its impact on the American West.

Chivington was an idiot and the governor was a monster to order such actions. All those fools did was turn friends into enemies!

Good 👍 story Miss Kitty 😺 see 👀 you on the trail 👣
Thank You!
I have always thought those like Courtright are the exceptions in old west lawmen
Yes indeed!
Nice little vid! Lotsa info in small package. A window to the soul of Human Nature. CORRUPTION hiding in the shadow of virtue. The WILD WEST was simply more transparent to the VICES. Good to see you pert, perky, and healthy!! Sose you can post more like this!! BTW, I'm a "Bat" Masterson fan, yet, I skeptically lean toward him having a coupla dark moments. Have you found anything suspicious in his life?? Maybe a vid's-worth of info??
Working on a video, stay tune!
Another great video! Thanks, Miss Kitty, for taking us down the trail!👍🤠
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Miss Kitty! I lost track of you for the past few months! I finally found your channel once again! Another Great video!

Wonder what it's worth in today's money ???? Another great story I've never heard of ! Thanks Ms. Kitty !
She said 5 mil
Thanks for watching! I wonder, too!
@@dn88s in today's money , 5 million was back then.
@@davidcreager1945 she literally said 5 million in today's dollars. She also said 250 lbs of gold so you could literally Google the current price of gold
@@davidcreager1945 she literally said 5 mil in today's dollars. Listen to the video.
Another interesting video, Miss Kitty!👍🤠True West is a good resource to quote from. See you down the trail.
I am so glad you enjoyed the story!
Impressive ending there, Bat-Girl!!😅😅😅😅😅. I lost my mental bet!! (She won't REALLY DO IT!!)😅😅😅😅😅! Haven't heard of Triscutt Gang. If they were really there, in Waldo, I just don't see being drunk enough to gun down women & children( kinda goes against the Mores of the Day. Robbery could have happened. Math seems off ( $32/oz X12( gold is 12 oz to pound)=$384. 17,000÷384=44.2 lbs( pounds). Not light, but 22lbs per horse, additional weight. If they were as drunk as described, they wouldn't have much quality plans, nor physically able to out-run posse for very far. So, I vote "Tall Tale". Nice seeing ya again, and take care of the youngun.
Thanks for watching!
Nice job Miss Kitty 😺 good 👍 1till next time ⏲ see 👀 you down the trail 👣
Yes! Thank you!
@@MissKittysWildWestAdventurers NO thank you for all the work you put into these story

Thanks!
Good 👍 job 👏 Miss Kitty 😺 very good 👍 job indeed 👀 you down the trail 👣
😁
@MissKittysWildWestAdventurers way thank you Miss Kitty 😺
Hindsight is 20/20 !!!! 😂😂😂😂
Thanks for watching!
Seems like half or more of the lawmen were close to bad as the outlaws, so I'm guessing they all had it pretty, but outlaws are usually troubled people to start with and they dont get much rest until dead. I'll give to the outlaws with a measure of understanding and little to no sympathy. I don't believe in disturbing the dead for anything but solving a crime and bringing peace to the living. That's just asking for bad juju! Nice video!
thanks for watching!
Miss Kitty 😺 look like 👍 nobody died of boredom again as aways thanks for another fine story til next time ⏲ be looking for you down the trail 👣
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed the tale!
@@MissKittysWildWestAdventurers aways Mam
Love this story.
Thanks for watching!
You’re right, Miss Kitty!! Never a dull moment in the Wild West. Thanks for another interesting video. 👍🤠
Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed the story!
I only gave it 1 thumb up!!( I don'y have 8 thumbs!😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅) As for hardest job: Grave-digger!! @the rate those drunken fools kilt one after another, Grave-digger was biizzzee!! As for digging up/drinking w/corpse; NOT MY THING!( Too much work & waste of liquor!!😅) BTW, haven't viewed vidz for while, but will catch up now election is over! Appreechatecha!
Hope you enjoy! I agree with you about grave digger -- but it was job security.
I think the victims had the toughest job ! I'm betting most if not all never got their money back . One of the men I'd dig up is Jeddahdia Smith , second , the guy who had the Dutchman's mine and third : Wyatt Earp.
Great sounds like a party!
Doc Holiday.
And lets play some cards!
Even though I do not drink, Bass Reeves. He operated out of the same city I am from. He is a very interesting person. I bet both lawmen and outlaws were on pretty equal footing. I doubt lawmen back then had to follow the same rules as law enforcement today. I would enjoy seeing you do something on Bass and Judge Parker's court in Ft. Smith Arkansas. They didn't call him the "Hanging Judge" for nothing.
Back then they hired off the street out West. No Peace Officer Academy. A rough town likely hired a badass who’d tame the worst. Or send them packing.
I agree, Bass Reeves was a fascinating figure!
I’d have 3 of them preferably alive at the time. Wild Bill Hickok, Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp, the group would be there to help improve my firearms skills with a six gun, with a lot of drinking after we put the guns away of course.
Sounds great bang bang!
Gives a whole new meaning to the term " bed race " ! 😂
So funny!
Ms. Kitty , that's such a cool job !!! Your performance was great ! Way to bring the story to life !
I’m so glad you enjoyed the story!
