  • @zackersquackers
    @zackersquackers 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    To clarify about not being able to, you should be able to use an app on your phone provided you have a mobile audio interface attached to your phone. Something like IK Multimedia's iRig--you might want to share a link for that device or something similar. Just wanted to mention since some people might already have one or be interested and it would remove the voice recorder step for getting the audio where you want it--you also have the added bonus of near immediate cloud storage provided you have the access, and the potential for faster file organization. Also, the Audio to Digital conversion is probably better on an external audio interface (although some cheap ones are bound to be of lower quality). I hope that wasn't coming of as criticism, I just meant "In addition, here's more cool stuff that helps". This was a great video by the way, thanks for the other tips! As both a musician and a techy, on the daily I'm contending with wrapping wires and cables. You tip just saved a lot of production time. Thanks again!

    • @EvalogueLife
      @EvalogueLife 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It didn't come off as criticism at all. It was actually an excellent suggestion. There are some good apps for recording phone calls, and they have probably improved since I last did reviews. A couple of years ago, I found them to be frustratingly buggy, which is why I searched for an analog solution, at least as a backup. I can say that TapeACall worked for me for years on a paid plan. Then, I had a grudge because without warning it stopped working for Android and I did not know why until AFTER it failed to record a client session. Thankfully, I had my analog backup. They did not support Android for a year or so, and then it came back. Anyway that is an example of how apps can be unpredictable. But you are right that they make saving files easy, and the audio quality is, indeed better. Thank you for this clarification for viewers.

    • @zackersquackers
      @zackersquackers 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@EvalogueLife Ouch, that was a close call. Very smart to have the backup going, saved yourself a lot of grief and time I bet. I don't have Android but I wondered about using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) like the free one called Garageband on ios. Bandlab might be more stable for a digital solution to track the audio. Chances are it also has good audio effects that you could use to clean up audio, splice up as needed and even EQ it to taste.

    I am about to tell you the truly most stocking story about my DNA test. I took the ancestry DNA test looking for viking and found none. It took me 2 weeks to follow this rumor told by my dark age nobles and found these busts that the Romans have 3000 years ago and my family look like twins of these guys still today and my last name means the eyebrow bridge of the Sarmatians. We were the very first horse people and the only tribe the Romans feared and forced us to be their cavalry. Which forced the daughters to be the warriors and defenders of the tribe. The Amazons didn't marry until the men would return to the tribe, they had arranged marriages. They didn't kill the boys but sent them away to hide from the Romans. All Slavs have Sarmatian DNA but we Poles have the most we are 50/50 Sarmatian/Slavic. I took an ancient DNA test and got the migration results of coming from the Tower of Babel and ending in Poland. Bulgaria was where the Romans boot camp was for the Sarmatian cavalry and someone in my family left ancient DNA in that exact area.

    Wonderful insights here Rhonda and absolutely agree that when we switch off and go into nature, things do become clearer. I'm also heading down the teaching path, which is a full circle moment for me as I used to teach adults in my 30's (computer training) so I'm excited to be able to help more people this way with sharing their stories using video. When making big decisions, I sometimes ask myself, "What's the worst that could happen?" and if the answer is not damaging to me or anyone else then I take the plunge and try it out. Life is a journey - with many chapters and seasons. And it's too short to not do what brings you joy and makes you come alive. My current season is so much fun, and it brings a lot of joy to myself and others. What more can we ask for? We are both blessed to be doing what we love to do and helping others while we do it. ❤

    • @EvalogueLife
      @EvalogueLife ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Yes, nature is like magic for insights, connection, and a creative reset. Good for you entering the teaching realm. It's a wonderful way to help more people than you can do than 1:1 client projects. Those are great too, and I always plan to be doing projects. But teaching is rewarding in a completely different way, and it's great to have both kinds of work in the mix. Yes, we are so blessed to be doing this work we love.
