Question- let’s say gw&t have changed the type of job that was designed for the trip (initially it was a creative media job now for some reason they changed it to teaching assistant job 😒, f### them kids!) can I quit if i manage to find my own job and stray away?

BEWARE! UK immigration has been raiding hostels and hotels and universities in London. Volunteering or working without the right visa and sponser (which most will not pay) is illegal! So is remote working or promoting your channel! My daughter is a US citizen who is awaiting deportation at a horrible removal prison called Yarls Wood. She committed no crime. They can hold you indefiniately, no court, no appeal, and the embassy cant engage. Please I urge you to check carefully with new immigration law. Please say a prayer for the safe return of my daughter.

Can I ask how you found your job ? I know I can book my own travel but it's finding work there.

OMG, I am so sorry this happened to you. BUT THANK you for sharing Sarah! Hope you did not let it go! Report them to authorities. You seem better for the experience and consider it an investment, But also let us know you got your money back please. Sorry again, There is no bridge to burn here. What a Scam!. I am older and traveling the world so I know the in and outs of traveling but want to go make use of my English Certification. It's hard finding something that works for me.

Thanks Sarah. I was considering them, but it sounds like they take advantage of first time overseas travelers, luring you in at half of what real tours cost then leave you to twist in the wind. How long were you there? The entire two years?Travel insurance is always optional but they must get a kickback.

Hi Sarah, I'm sorry to hear about this. I also booked a working holiday GW&T and absolutely regret it. I know exactly how you feel. I didn't even get passed my introduction call with my arrivals co-coordinator because it was cancelled twice! I also paid for the whole trip after my welcome call, which was very pressuring and made me feel uneasy. I knew in my gut something wasn't quite right. I instantly regretted paying the full balance straight away but tried to stay positive. I then also received emails and calls for flight and insurance quotations, which were over priced and I had told my trip-coordinator I would arrange this at a later date. I did not feel they were respecting my wishes and trying to get more money out of me. Also at this point I was still very unclear on when job and accommodation information would be available to me because it could not access it on my gworld account which was making me very anxious after paying nearly £1500! And this was a discounted price too! Then to have my introduction call with my arrivals co-coordinator cancelled twice I felt was an absolute joke and made me feel like I had been scammed! This was the final straw for me, I could feel in my gut that this was a bad company and that I should not bother proceeding with them. Then I see lots of reviews online similar to yours where people are left jobless ect. They are an absolute rip off and do little to nothing to arrange anything for you. I am currently trying to get a refund, despite what the terms and conditions say, because I don't feel their service matches the prices they are charging. They are coming up with so many excuses it's ridiculous. I also spoke to one of their managers on the phone and expressed I don't feel confident about them and he didn't seem too bothered, nor did he really try to fill me with confidence to carry on with them.

Girl Ty for posting this video!! This is the best honest review I’ve seen. I’m also a kiwi, bought the London working holiday when I was 20. Got sold it over the phone, almost pressured to pay for it instantly because of the discount. Covid happened a month after paying for it and I tried to get out of it but they get you with the lifetime guarantee. It’s been on hold for 3 years now. I’ve seen so much bad stuff come out from the company, spent so many hours going back and forth with them and hate each outcome they give me. It’s put me off going on this trip but they have 4.5k of my hard earned money and I don’t know what to do 😭
