I went to JW pepper, which is a sheet music company and played the sample audio they provided on that site. I don’t remember the name of the person that arranged the piece or else I’d give you the link. I’ll see if I can find it for you.
In the SATB version that I have this is the alto line. If you are doing this piece at your school your teacher might have had altos sing the tenor line since it is pretty high. But I had tenors that could sing that part well. With any practice track I post it’s customized for the choirs that I have.
I believe it's Jonny Priano. I'm not at the same school that I did this piece at, so I can't look it up. But I'm pretty sure that is the composer's name. Beautiful writing!
Glad it helped. I find it hilarious that people that aren't even my students use my practice track more than my own students. Lol! Good luck with the competition. It's a great piece.
I made these practice tracks for my choir students. I don't know if it was with the alto and soprano tracks too, but I know the the tenor tracks i had to modify parts. Just make sure you are singing the part your teacher wants. Especially if you tell your classmates about the tracks. There might be slight differences.
I know it's been like 2 years since you uploaded this, but why did you stop singing? My group was trying to learn and then couldn't follow after you stopped singing!!?
Hi! I just read your comment (video on electrolysis from 8 years ago😅) that you had electrolysis many years ago and that it had worked for you. I just wanted to know if you are still hair-free after 8 years? Please answer it would help me so much, thank you🤗
L Stevens Since I have fewer guys in my program, I had to adjust some parts and have my Altos do some of the Tenor 1 parts. I make the practice tracks for my specific choir. If others use it, awesome, but it may not be what your director wants you to sing. I still find it funny that I have more people that are not my students use these practice tracks more than my own do. *sigh*
it’s actually pronounced “cak” the “c” is the same when you say “chair” and the “a” is the same way you pronounced “nun” It is more like saying “chalk” just minus the L haha
Josiah Sawyer you are very welcome. I love that I can help out students that aren’t even my own! How awesome is that?! Enjoy the piece! Give my love to your Altos and pianist!!
Thanks for making this recording! I’m in Capital High School Choir and I’ve been using this recording by heart and recommending your other videos of the different parts for this to my other classmates, it’s been a massive help to mastering this difficult song! P.S. You have a lovely singing voice :)
Sander Bakkely I am glad that people are using it. It’s a doozy of a sound. I make practice tracks for my students to help them out. I don’t how many use them, but I’m glad others are getting use out of them. I think this was the video that I messed up on one spot, but I address it at the end. Also, to your Altos....that part!!!
Sander Bakkely And thank you for your comment about my voice. I appreciate it. I posted a couple videos that a friend and student asked me to post. I’m not really a modern music vocalist. It’s totally fun, but choral music and opera is where my voice shines more.
This is tenor 2😢
The version of the score I had was a 4 part SATB version. So sorry that it’s not the part you need! 😢
I'm so sorry for bothering, but what version of the song did you use in this video???? th-cam.com/video/5OF06OasjTU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IeUoF-a-k1feR8CL

If you type She used to be Mine Mac Huff the SSA version of the video should pop up on TH-cam.
Thank you
Good luck! This piece can be a beast! Have fun with it!
Hey just to let you know that you were singing Soprano 1 and 2 instead of the alto

Who is a compouser?

Glad it helped. I find it hilarious that people that aren't even my students use my practice track more than my own students. Lol! Good luck with the competition. It's a great piece.

I sure am! At least on the areas that I have finished treatments. My legs will take some time though, since that is my next area to attack! Lol!
I think you may have slipped into Tenor 2 for parts of this recording.

Thank you for this, can you please show the music?
I would, but to respect the composer, I won't so people can't copy it.
I like that students that are not even mine use the practice track I put up more than my own students do. *sigh* I am glad people are using them.
Many Thanks. This helped me study my part.

Thank you!!
psyrvn You’re welcome! Hopefully my students will use these practice tracks too! Good luck! It’s a fun piece.
Thank you so much. Now I know my part for my test.
Thanks for this recording, hopefully ms.dowers wont kill us now

It's been two years and I still listen to this, you sound lovely. Congrats on your wedding Mrs. Hatch. ( This is Ashley Hanshew)
Thank you to both comments!!
Colleen O You are very welcome!

You are so very welcome! I am glad it helped you. I make practice tracks all the time for my students.
