Various bird species visit our birdcam feeders daily: finches, cardinals, jays, tufted titmouse, grackles, red-winged black birds, chickadees, mourning doves, goldfinches, and many more. Come stop by and visit.
When blue jays go nuts for peanuts—meet the feathered entourage!
The blue jays were snapping up the peanuts today. I saw the male cardinal's visit and the house sparrow at the feeder. I even saw a brown-headed cowbird visit, and of course, one of the squirrels popped by for a visit.
Tomorrow is a half-day workday for me, and I look forward to my time away! Wherever you are, I hope you are having a wonderful day!

The squirrels and jays love the peanuts, plenty for all of them. The squirrels are something; they get nuts from our chestnut and acorn trees and the birdcam feeder!

I'm including a short clip of freeze-dried bananas in the video I will post today. Later this week, I'll be showing footage of birds and their reaction to freeze-dried strawberries I've made. I am still awaiting their response since they will be placed outside for the first time today. I pulled that batch out of the freeze dryer this morning.

Yes, they are beautiful birds. I'm happy I'm able to see a few, the majority have migrated.There are planty of warm nests so they should be fine wintering here.

Oh, there were definitely more in that hatch. I see the jays and squirrels pulling seeds from the chute, so peanuts will come out. They are clever. I'll have to add those clips and slow it down so you can see. When I saw that, I started laughing! 😆😃
