Corroded battery contacts in your flash, battery tray or battery compartment? This should help.
If you have battery corrosion in most any device using alkaline, mercury, manganese, or silver oxide batteries, vinegar will remove much of it quickly. Though in this video I covered the corrosion in vinegar. Most of time I would apply the vinegar with a cotton swab or a Kimwipe wrapped around tweezers. This flash had more corrosion than I have seen in years. Unfortunately the\is flash was totaled. The corrosion had damaged many the traces on the circuit boards. When the batteries start to leak, molecules of corrosion will follow the wiring or circuit traces until the battery power has exhausted.

You can easily install the rewind shaft and knob in your Pentax K1000 or Spotmatic camera in minutes without removing the top cover or trying to get past the shaft guide spring with a tool. You just need to know this film camera repair technicians tip. This technique does not work on the Minolta SRT series as they use a different type of shaft guide spring. If you have questions about this meth...

I’ve used both open cell and closed cell foams for various camera light seals. I’ve mainly used closed cell for mirror bumpers and some channel applications, and open cell for places where repeated open & close actions (rear doors, mirror slaps, etc.) aren’t very often. Is there a reason to use open cell vs closed cell foams?

I have a similar issue with my FM that the film advance won't move but I've found rewinding the film a frame or 2, it will un-jam and then firing off a couple of lens-capped shots to get it (hopefully) back to unexposed film. BTW, who loads film that way by pressing on the film? Weird.

Thanks for this demo. I have the simpler CE 360, which lacks the curtain speed measurement. I don't have any documentation. It only appears to have one adjustment inside: a trimpot on the printed circuit board behind the ASA buttons. Do you happen to know what this trimpot does?

Great video! I tried to repair a Vivitar 200mm f3.5 M42. The aperture is stuck. I decided to remove autofocus mechanism but (I think..) some spring is not tight anymore so the aperture is wide open. The aperture blades start closing at f8 or f11. When I have time, I will continue trying to fix my lens! Thanks for your videos.
