Thank you for your reply. We just found the buffet to be a bit disappointing and cold compared to the sit down restaurant at seaside. The benefits for preferred at this resort are great including private pool area, beach area, ac lounge and bar. We just found going to the sit down breakfast was more relaxing and overall more enjoyable and just an extra perk of being UVC members and having access to preferred that not everyone does.

The only reservation you have to make a head of time is if you want the teppanyaki table at himitsu. That reservation can be made in the app.. I believe it opens at midnight for the day off to make a reservation and they go fast. All other restaurants and the main area of himitsu are go when you want.. there may be a wait during prime dinner times, but we never had to.

I would have to say Playa Blanca then Akumal then Maroma. Can’t go wrong with any of them !

Yes very open air space.. very breezy though …never felt warm or hot at Rendezvous though with the breeze. The only a/c spots is coco cafe, preferred club lounge or your room.

We get access to preferred club being UVC members but at this resort we did not utilize it. Maroma I did not feel it was very worth it other then having a sit down breakfast. Maroma had an amazing breakfast buffet though. I did feel at Akumal and definitely at Playa Blanca preferred was worth it though. We will be making a preferred club is it worth it video soon. Working on getting our food and review videos done for Playa Blanca first.

All the restaurants were open. The jungle pool swim up bar was not completed. The theater,gym, and spa were not opened yet. They are still saying July completion, but I’m honestly not sure when they will be fully open. We loved our time even with it not fully open.

You will not be disappointed. With preferred club sometimes you get the small sunscreen (15SPF) and a little bug spray. Otherwise all rooms come with basics. The shampoo and body wash smells great and works great for me even with curly hair. They will also replenish through the week as well. I would skip out on bringing your own shampoo and body wash unless you have special product for colored hair or very sensitive skin. Bring more sunscreen then you think as it’s expensive to buy on property. Happy to answer any other questions!

@PantherTravels_98 awesome! Thank you so much! I went ahead & bought 4 bottles of spray SPF & one lotion SPF. Hopefully, that will be plenty. My husband and I are also taking rashguards in case it will br harder to reapply during excursions. Your videos have honestly been wonderful. There are loads of videos for this resort, but you went into much more detail & it's been very appreciated. So thankful that you shared them!

@PantherTravels_98 thank you so much. I honestly think you answered so much more than I even thought of in your videos. There's only really one thing we're nervous about. We've booked a submarine tour in Playa del Carmen, but we'll have to get our own transportation. I know y'all mentioned not going off site, but did y'all speak to anyone that booked a cab? Nervous that we should have booked Xcaret instead as transport can be booked through them. Lol

Food was amazing… really didn’t have anything that I didn’t enjoy. Lots of variety. Buffet for lunch was about the only negative thing with temperature of the food being slightly cooler, but so many other options to enjoy.

@@Emerald-u4m The only reservations that would need to be made if you want to sit at the Hibachi table at the Asian Restaurant Himitsu. This is completely free and can be done through your concierge. You can also do paid reservations for dinners on the beach.

Hello.. there is a beach area for preferred club, but sadly no preferred pool. Both pools at maroma are up front next to each other.
