Brilliant, many thanks for uploading. I lost it on vhs and can almost remember every word!
l'm a liverpool fan, and l'm not going to lie....l was 15 years old in 1993, and watching this?.... l knew there and then, that manchester united were now the top club in england...And were going to be for years to come after this... The regrets l had being a lfc fan?...was that i'd wish i had been born earlier to see lfc triumphs at least in the 1980s...and of coruce the 5year ban from europe did hurt me years later....Now with BSKYB and a new premier league and new trophy in 1992....lt could'nt had come at a better time for man utd....lt was difficult to watch for all those years being a lfc fan. with man utd, arsenal, chelsea, and then man city win everything between them...
16 myself Nik and had been madly in love with United since 1985. Times I wished I never started following United watching Liverpool being the colossus they were at the time. Broke my heart watching us lose title in 86 after winning cup in 85 and first 10 in 85-86. RU in 87-88 was a good season but Liverpool won by a mile. Hillsboro broke Liverpool along with Kenny resigning. 1 title in 34 years is bad return at thi stage
Great upload. Remember watching it at the neighbours gaff as they were the only ones with sky at the time 😂
Sounds like they are talking into a pillow
Wish ten hag lifts the premier league trophy with sir Alex ferguson looking on from the stands just like sir Matt busby
Those graphics look pretty good for the early 90s lol
One of the best days in my life GGMU
Great days.. I'd waited all my life to see us lift it. (Too young in 68, I was 1)
Thank you GGMU i was 12 when i saw this 🏆
I was 11 years old. Seem to remember Gary Pallister scoring a free kick 😂
Love seeing the numbers with no names, best days
I was at this game and had this coverage for years on VHS. It was recorded over and I am delighted to find and watch it. Thank you!!
When football was about the game not money
There is some truth in what you say Matt but the 1992-93 premier league was actually the catalyst for the modern business that is football. Clubs like United, Spurs and Arsenal were turning their clubs into business ventures long before the FAPL, demanding and being successful at forcing TV companies to pay ever increasing fees to show live games. This was the first season of a 300+m package, almost 10 times larger than what ITV paid in late 80s for TV rights. Still though, the game is unrecognizable now
For some reason, sometimes my dad used to be funny and not let me stay up to watch things important to me or send me to bed early, but other times would let me stay up for nothing. This was one of those times and it was weird. I was allowed to watch the build up, but had to go bed when the match kicked off. I remember hiding my radio alarm clock under my pillow and listening to it with awful reception, and then having to turn it off and pretend to sleep if I heard anyone coming upstairs. So stupid looking back.
I had the same type of dad pal. And he's still like it. Obviously I've moved out years ago. My da would cheer them on when watching utd with others. Then get bitter if they won if he was watching them in the house sometimes not always. Like actually bitter. Soon as my nephew supported man utd and we qualified for champions league he then cancelled BT sports knowing my nephew was looking forward to it as stays over on Tuesday and Wednesday's
Crowds back then were totally different to today.
It meant so much more back then, everyone got involved. Most UK grounds are like libraries these days, even during derbies.
Ten Hag getting sacked Monday by the way, back to reality 😂
🤔
This aged…. Shit.
That went well
Soon bro😢
Thank you so much for this upload. That montage at the beginning I've been looking for for years
There was one at the end too but the upload ends
More full games of united please
Those were the days 🎉🎉
Remember it like it was yesterday 😊
