What BLUE WIRES are on Treadmill Motor
The BLUE WIRES on Treadmill motor connect to an OVERHEAT Switch inside DC MOTOR, but the interesting thing is the Blue Wires are 120VAC power that run back the Treadmill Control Board. You can see me trace the wires to show they are 120VAC. Video also shows using my EVENTEK KPS3010D DC Switching Power Supply to test run Treadmill DC Motor :-)

    Why did the part rotate 90° when placed on the Right Plane? Not a predictable result in my opinion.

    I watched one of your Solidworks videos and knew I needed to see what else you had to offer. What you point out as being important to you says that you really know what to look for. I exited that video and found this one. I exited this one to add onto what must be a huge number of likes, and realize that life isn't fair. You should have so many more. I expect to be printing these "inserts" quite soon. Thanks!

    This is awesome! Always found the longevity of the bait limited by evaporation. Either the bait dried to a consistency that’s too solid/sticky, or the ants have had their fill, or released pheromones signaling malaise, not sure which. But the enclosure should help with the bait drying!

    The pocket for the nut would work better if it was a full One inch deep, 1~a wider length of screws would work, & 2~ a coupling nut could be used and screws from the front for the lid and from the back for mounting,

  • @TalmadgesArcade

    Thank you. I'm looking at the identical guts of a treadmill and found your video searching for the pn on the motor. Online parts dealer told me to replace the controller power board. Then the said I had a bad motor. Thanks to your video I know how to check the thermocouple and might replace that and get a refund for this unnecessary replacement board they sent me. Thanks again!

  • @nitrousman8882
    @nitrousman8882 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    not sure why breaking the AC line into the board is "interesting" if the motor overheats? If you only broke the DC to the motor, you assume that the fault is only with the motor. Am I missing something here? Any idea what the temp set is for your thermal breaker?

    Interesting ,i alway wonder what the blue wire was.I brought a proform 4 years ago.Just last month it keep tripping my breaker in the house when i turn the switch on.So when i look into it ,i realize it was the 2 blue wire connected to the motor.So i'm not sure if its the control board ,motor or what.....I have tested the motor with a 12v and it run ok.

    Great video! The dark and light blue wires plug into the switch on/off. How do u know which blue goes where? Which blue goes to the on and which goes on the off plug?

    • @charlesmarlin6632
      @charlesmarlin6632 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I made this video as a reminder for myself for when came time to put everything back together and put it on TH-cam so I could watch it on iPad when rebuilding to make sure I had wires correct. Probably none of this info is a help to you but it was a fun learning experience for me and this video worked well to show me where the wires went several weeks later ... so I left it on TH-cam for others. Best of Luck CHEERS!! ... The two lighter blue wires work plugged in either way from the motor onto the my control board because the overheat switch ( in my motor ) is set so motor would will run even when the lighter blue wires are not connected to anything ... One could assume the control board sends a voltage through those blue wires through a cool thus closed 'overheat' switch, then if overheat switch gets too hot the switch opens breaking the voltage that then sets that connection from having a higher voltage to a lower or no voltage and then the control board knows to shut down power to the motor until such time the motor cools and the switch closes again letting that small signal voltage through to controller ... So when I tested my motor after I took it off the treadmill using a completely different DC Power Control from KBIC Electronics it ran just fine without connecting the blue wires to anything special on a control board ... but that way if motor did ever overheat then of course the motor would burn up instead of shutting down prior to damage.

    i want to use the speed controller board but bypass the motor temp switch since im using this as a motor for a cnc..dont want motor stopping...so my theory is to wire it up similar however on the power switch the blue that goes to the motor i would just route that directly to the board location next to the first blue connection.. instead and i think that would bypass the temp switch in the motor ...does this sound ok?

      The guy to answer you question is Jeremy Fielding: th-cam.com/channels/_SLthyNX_ivd-dmsFgmJVg.htmlvideos Jeremy may even cover the 'blue wires' in his TH-cam videos because they are helpful and detailed. I believe his videos are where I got my info to setup my DC motor. I hope you project works out well. I have moved since making this video so don't have a motor to try out ideas or I would check on the wiring to see if it works as you discussed. CHEERS!!
