Q&A-Did the full rig incl. the Jayco Crosstrak live up to expectations?
มุมมอง 7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
We've done some mega 4WDriving through Lorella Springs over the last week so Nick sits down to answer some questions as to whether the rig was up for the challenge! We cover the highlights of Lorella Springs, 4WDriving through the top end with the Toyota Hilux towing the Jayco Crosstrak, meal prepping, what we would change, what we wish we had and if the MW Toolbox canopy did the job!
Off Road at Lorella Springs Part 4 - the end of the adventure
มุมมอง 3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
We towed our Jayco Crosstrak over 300km's through Lorella Springs! There's mud, bog holes, water crossings, rock ledges and the Jayco handles it all! This episode we make it to the Gulf, the Secrete Fishing Spot, Valley of the Ghosts and Nannies Retreat. What an awesome last couple of days we had on this pristine property. We towed the Jayco Crosstrak behind our Hilux with no hiccups until the ...
Jayco Crosstrak off-road in Lorella Springs, NT - River Crossing
มุมมอง 2.2K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Part 3 of our Lorella Springs adventure and we've come to a halt at a water crossing. Do we risk taking the Jayco Crosstrak across when there is no one to help if we get stuck? Does the Hilux have enough power to tow up the slippery slope? How many bogholes will we get stuck in? We're off road and off grid in the Northern Territory's Lorella Springs - one of the best places we've been!

Maleny getaway and camp fire cook up
มุมมอง 7033 ปีที่แล้ว
A weekend away at our friends property - perfect spot to take the Jayco Crosstrak and cook up a meal on the fire. Did our "winging" it pay off? Here is our recipe: Ingredients - * whatever veggies you have - we used mushroom, onion, carrot, capsicum, broccoli, potato - all chopped up into bite site pieces * Lamb Shanks/lamb chops/diced lamb * 2x cans of diced tomatoes * 500ml of beef stock * Wo...

Great review mate! Any chance you could do a 1 year on review please? Cheers Rod.
What was the weight and tongue weight of the trailer?
Hey guys, Just came across your channel. We are thinking of buying the same model cross track that you have. How have you found your time with it? Do you know what your approx ball weight is when fully loaded? That’s also a contributing factor for us haha!
Hey mate love the vid, currently doing something very similar. how did you secure the unistrut to the canopy? More pop rivets or something a bit more heavy duty?
Will this be able to move a 6m alloy boat?
Why do they call me donkey ? Hee orr hee orr hee Orr he always calls me that 😂😂. We,ll be At Goomburra shortly for a charity event, can’t wait 👍👍👁️👁️😎😇🐕🦺❤️🇦🇺
Hope to see you guys out in the Crosstrak again.
Guys fantastic review, I’m handy enough to sort those issues you have pointed out. Enjoy.
Bottom fill mate. Open that top pipe, connect the garden hose to the outlet and bottom fill the tanks instead
Looks great however, that vibration/anti rattle nut on your tow hitch should be loose when towing. It's for times when not towing as far as I'm aware. Good product review
Hi was wondering if the awning leaks at the rear zip hole?
what's your hats shape i'm getting an akubra don't know what shape to get
We are looking at buying one of these because of the light weight TARE. I am happy with outside shower but can the porta potty be put inside under a seat for old ladies
Nice install mate and a helping hand from old Pistol Pete haha
How is the awning now going?
Fill it from the tap m8
be no trouble doing that of a towball. There is prolly no more force on th towball than towing the van through sand in the first place. You NEVER snatch of a towball though
You guys have been really helpful when it comes to buying my first camper. I'm definitely going to buy the crosstrak cheers guys loved the videos
Good video guys! Great to know that you can take a van there!
Nice Review Mate. I cant find anywhere on the specs what the dimension of this awning and wondering if you know from your trails? Trying to compare it to others on how far it is directly square off the bracket ie 90 degrees to the side of car. Also how far the 90 degree point is off the back.... I have a prado and trying to work out if the open barn door will be under cover of the awning fully.
Mint footage to share, thanks 🎉
Please advise where to purchase this from. Would love this for my camper, I'm 67 and only 4'11".
To solve the spring pole issue you can heat them up and bend them in a way that they still work, which is the method i went with on my setup. Otherwise you can use bungy cord from the eyelets on the tent awning and attach them to the campboss awning tiedown points hope that helps. thanks for the video.
You can refill with a hose pipe connected to your gravity feed tap. Open you current refill tube to release the air pressure. Works well on my camper van that I built
Hey mate, thanks for the review! Quick one, what’s the closed height x width? 1 site says 200x200, other sites say 150x150
Thanks for watching - it's 200x200
Mate bush company got a bracket to fix your pole issue that fits with a 270 awning
thanks! We found that out when we got back into internet!
How much did you pay for it mate?
We paid $1350.
Great review. Thanks
Thanks for watching.
Just as an idea for you, if you don't end up putting a pump on your water tank, use your outlet at the back for an inlet and the inlet you have used just as a vent 🤙🏼
Thanks for the idea and for watching.
Hi Guys Im about to put a diesel heater on my 2023 crossie. I was wondering whether you had any problems with the exhaust pointing towards the ensuite ?
Nice video. Just was wondering if you leave these units on the rig while it’s beeping towed ?
This man stinks this van out with his intestinal gas issues. I don’t understand why this gorgeous women would want to step foot in an enclosed space with this man 💩
Good informative video wait till the next one
Good review for a first impression. I have a 13 on order after many months of research. My main reason is the weight, departure angles, and size. Yes, Jayco builds are rough, especially when they bragged they spit out a new van every 16 minutes. This will be my 3rd Jayco but the after sales from experience has always been positive. Also, being a tradesman, I can handle doing improvements that they won't do on a build sheet. As they are pretty much a flat pack van and you can't change their design until your dealer or yourself takes ownership.
Very nice! What sort of lead did you get made up? Looking to do the same…
Would love to see more videos. Also more of how you set up camp and well just more of how you enjoy your camping experience overall. Keep the videos coming.
Just found your channel. I've never seen this type of Jayco here in the US. My hubby and I just bought a NoBo 10.6 it is a toy hauler overlander. I have to admit if this Jayco had been a choice at the time I'm not sure which one we woudve gone home with.
Absolutely horrible that people do this, I cannot keep my mouth shut, but I understand, you guys do not need the confrontation to spoil your tiume, and you get to practice recovery skills, whoooo hoooo how good was that?
There is nothing like knowing how your car works, and using it without the handbrake on helps too!!!
I just caight on that yiuse had mived to the NT,.
G'day mate , how's the Crosstrack looking these days ?
It's all still in one piece and all is working fine! And yes! Moved up here last year - dry season now so more adventures to come! Thanks for watching mate.
Thanks Nice place. Thanks for taking us there. How you finding the crosstrak now you have had it for a good while?.
It's great - still taking us to all the places we want to go. Haven't had any issues with it - it's still all in one piece. Thanks for watching.
Great simple light set-up, that comes in handy, 👍
thanks!
thank you for your comments great youtube
Very nice, we are living in Norway, where can i buy this Gen X mini mover 2?
Good to see you back..
Thank you!
Great video guys
thanks for watching!
Any water get in the van ?
Nope! Not a drop! Thanks for watching
Just pull the handle and rotate it 90 degrees. You don’t need to break it down. Not a bad little bit of gear
so you hate the van ?
