Laddering Down in Brioche and Fisherman's Rib
Thank you so much for this video! I just followed your instructions to fix a dropped stitch in half brioche. It was very helpful.
Thanks for your video Sofia from egypt
You scared me a bit with "typically my answer so far has been don't", but it was a simple fix. Thanks!
Incredible detail! Thanks so much!
You are an angel, thank you so much for this, now I don’t have to frog back to my lifeline inches ago.
Scrolling thru TH-cam and I recognized your hands first!
So cool! This is the first time I SEE the difference in the structure of brioche and fisherman’s rib. I’m so impressed I’m subscribing to your channel.
Thank you!!! Excellent demonstration. Is their any way of inserting a lifeline just below the dropped stitch in brioche before attempting laddering down?
Absolutely. This is exactly why I support Ravelry - though I am still in awe of their unwillingness to deal with the issues around the screen problems. Facebook is horribly helpful to white supremacy, folks who've moved there are shifting to a worse place. Yes, must hold people accountable for their white supremacy. And call out their behaviors.
Oh how I wish you could do more on fisherman’s rib! It’s my favorite stitch and I have to restart my projects so many times b/c I just can’t get how to fix it right. Ty!
Bristol I am in complete agreement with you! Thank you for sharing your views and educating those that may not be aware of what is happening. I love you so much! You are one of the smartest, talented, unique and kind person I know. We need change in our country but not with violence or attacking our democracy.
Thank you for expressing your beliefs. I have your drape & fold out and looking forward to creating one of your fabulous designs!
This has just fixed a problem I've been trying to work through for days! Thank you! Love the comments section here too haha. Lots of happy knitters.
Thank you so so much for making and sharing this video! ❤️ You explained everything very well ☺️ My scarf is saved, woohoo!
Such a good brioche join demo! Thank You!

"I really love wanton destruction: the Bristol Ivy Story"
The “How to Wear” segment was especially helpful, and had great descriptive names.
I really enjoyed the interview! So fun!
Wow! Thanks for the review! 👍3👍🔔
Love these videos! Thanks, Bristol!
Bristol, you are a girl after my own heart - you love green and you play with shawl shapes. Hands-down, all shades of green are my favorite with beautiful browns (earthtones) second. As a knitter breaking away from only making scarves, I knit shawls next and changed the shapes on the first two. Will definitely look into your book. Also enjoyed Kim and definitely yes about semi-solids - I hand dyed fibers and clothes and fabric and that is my favorite also. Thanks for the video :)
This video was a lifesaver! You saved me HOURS of work and I really appreciate you!
Great explanation and so very helpful, thank u so much for sharing this!
Thank you for making this so clear and simple!
YOU ARE MY HERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much 👍💐
Thank you so much for posting this! It was incredibly helpful! You're the only one who has posted on picking up dropped stitches in fisherman's rib.
You the only one! With a how to in picking up Fisherman’s stitch and Brioche. Thank you.
Thank you so much fort taking your time to show this! I cried and thought my cowl was doomed! You saved it!!
Bristol - Thank you SO MUCH for this video. I have always been a huge fan of your designs, but today I am so grateful for your clear explanation! You just saved me having to rip out six rows of a two color brioche shawl. 🤩
Thank you for making this video. I was working on a fisherman’s rib scarf & knitted when I should have knit below. When I realize it 10 rows later I undid the stitches above to fix my mistake thinking that it can’t be that hard to figure out but it was until I watched your video. It was a little different but it made it so easy. You are a very good teacher.
Thank you!!!! This saved my baby blanket!!
Thank you very good video. Is it the same for two color brioche?
You just saved me! Thanks so much! Happy New Year! 🎊🎆
Thank you a lot!!! You helped me so much!!
Wow, brave you! Thank you so much ... this sure is daunting when you first look at it.
Thank you so much for sharing this amazing tip. I’ve requested many times to have someone share a tutorial on this,. You are an Angel. So many people I know stay away from this pattern because we can’t fix it. Now we can, thanks to you my dear Lady. I’m off now to start a scarf I’ve wanted to make for so long. Merry Christmas Sweetheart. ❤️❤️
your hands are at the top of the screen, I can't see what you're doing, also, turn up your microphone, you can't be heard.
Could u please zoom in so we r able to see better?! Thanks!
Thank you so much!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! You saved my life and my work!
brilliant! thank you
This will save me some tears, many thanks
Absolute lifesaver, thank you for the clear instructions in my moment of panic 😆
