Nice example.. I'm not a fan of that steering wheel it has on it though.
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe ...
chassisbeams are rotting away on the front. Critical point on the 85 to 88 Manta's.
Not on my car there not
What a car ....big fan of opel manta 400
Awesome machines
Que bela máquina 👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks for putting this video up, I love Mantas and have owned four in the past, including one that I put back on the road in Dubai after finding it covered in dust at a car yard with a blown head gasket. The last two I owned were Exclusive Coupes (one in red and the other in Moonstone Blue) with the four headlights as standard and were really nice cars to drive. I only sold the last one when I changed jobs and received a car allowance that my new boss made me use to buy a Mondeo, which I look back on with disappointment now. I think the only car I liked more than the Mantas was my Monza GSE, although my Kadett C Coupe SR was another that I loved owning. Wish I still had each of them.
Thanks mate sounds like you love your opels
who owns this car? where is it located?
Great video love it
Anyone knows why this didn't make a significant impact in the UK? The direct rival of the Capri everywhere else in Europe. I've must have seen 300 UK movies and not a single Manta
I miss my GTE so much still ... '95 I lost her (3 kids etc). 2.0 CIH unbreakable. Getrag 240 box .. unbreakable, and that lovely short prop shaft. Recaros. Did 120k in her. Towed a caravan 1000 miles to Scotland and back every year, never a problem, never issues. Friend had one, not GTE and had an Essex installed in it, sounded good but no match for a GTE. Mine was white, D22 CUT. Like a slot car, never did anything unexpected ... unless you wanted it too ;-).
Great cars mate so good to drive compared to all the new cars
@@MUDBrothers_4X4 Hey thanks. They were just such a good drive, so reliable and totally predictable. And really quick, in their day only dominated by the cozzys really. Really good to see you looking after this baby. I miss mine. The wife has a new car ... mmm... it's OK, too smart for it's own good and makes you a lazy driver. Don't think I can stretch to another Manta right now ... if I came across one that wasn't bad I might?
I had two of these back in the day. Two coupes, a black one and a white one with white alloys...oure 80's!
I had one of these cars in 1987 fantastic car
Looks tidy underneath! 👍😎 I miss mine very much, had a bright scarlet red 1984 coupe 2.0 GTE, full immaculate recaro (check) pattern interior. It had Alley Cat alloys with the inner parts painted same red as bodywork, they were smaller diameter than stock, I think 13inch so gave better acceleration, had a lot of engine tuning work done on the engine and a full custom performance exhaust. I got it very cheap, paid £500 from a body repair shop, it had been stolen by someone the driver gave a lift, while he was paying for fuel, crashed it, did some light front damage. They had done 99% of the repairs, including full body respray, new front wings, new inner wings, new front bumper, new headlights etc etc all I had to do to it was get it running, as it had been stood for a while, clutch plate was stuck to flywheel, fix a fuel pipe leak and fit the front bumper, all easy stuff, the car looked mint, it was just dusty inside and out from being left. Happy times in that car, cornered like it was on rails. 👍😎
Fuzz does the young timer's classic car show at Gawsworth hall every year, he gives out prizes to the best cars and also raffle ticket prizes, the walks round the cars chatting to owners. I put my Subaru Impreza RB5 on show every year, very good show, nice and relaxed atmosphere.
Thanks for that my friend. I couldn't get out on the Saturday to watch it, so your video clip is much welcome. Cheers .
Thanks mate really appreciate comments like this 👍🏻
Impressed to see my old manta on the road. I see you have changed the front number plate? I upgraded the lights to bi xenon 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks I have had to put a lot of work in to it with one of my mates needed 2 arches 2 sills fuel tank now fully standard did I buy it off u
I sold to a lady who wanted it for husband it was 2009. I hardly drove it I think I still have the original parcel shelf somewhere. Have you got rid of the square number plate. I should have some pictures I'll upload them.
Ye you sold it to me and my mum that’s when we bought it
@@MUDBrothers_4X4 I have new project now bmw 325i convertible E30. All the best hope many years off motoring 👍🏼👍🏼
I sold this car back 2009. Glad to see it's still running 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for sharing your videos, I see you enjoyed that Subaru! Was a great day driving the car too 😄😄
It was great to see a Subaru getting driven the way they should do looked like u was having a lot of fun mate
Subscribe me too..
Thats awesome man! And its a proper GTE as well, those are getting quite rare and expensive! Looks good for its age too.
Had two back in the day, they were a cruiser , certainly not a performance car by any measure.
Hello, I know you probably won’t see this comment because of how old this video is, but where did you get that body kit because I love it! I’m trying to put it on my celica as well which is my first car
Carlos Lopez it’s a VeilSide body kit think part was from a gen 7 and made to fit can still buy off eBay
GTE Motorsport22 thank you, but I’m actually having a hard time trying to find it😅, can you please provide the link for the body kit. Please😭😭🙏🙏
Could I ask where you sourced those bright headlamp bulbs? I would like to fit some to mine. Many thanks.
Stephen Ayres they are just HID just retro fitted I have just put them in bin as I have changed back to standard due to draining battery 👍🏻
Nice edit man
Jordan Mills thanks mate
Impressive line up of cars👌
Thanks mate tried to get all the cars
Very Niiice
Where was that held at. Nice to see some of the older rally cars out. 70s,80 and 90s was my favourite years for getting out and watching rallying, now I watch the history rally's as I'm not into this new WRC euro box stuff.
Very niiiiiice
Bloody hell. I new nothing about this show, nice turn out of Subaru's.
RB5steve steve hi mate think it is coming up soon will let u know if u want 👍🏻 thank don’t for get to subscribe
Yeah. It's on the Saturday 17th of August. I would have gone, but my RB5 is booked into a classic car show on Sunday, so as usual it's a good clean and polish Saturday ready for the show.
Very nice mate just in Madrid but when I am back be at the shows come say hello
I had a 86 Manta saloon in white with the white wheels etc. 265000 miles I got fed up of welding the stress cracks on the body back together but it was one of the best cars I ever had. owned for about 15 years. Nostalgia for me thanks mate.
Stuart Everard I still have dreams about my gorgeous Manta gte....sigh !
Sick Vid!! Some Belter Motors there man!! :)
macky nice one laaaaa
I have so many good memories of being taken everywhere/school in Mantas, including 400 replicas, 10J wide wheels in the snow and everything haha. Have wanted one ever since... Enjoyed seeing those dials/vents etc again, cheers!
Agree motorsport videos should be music free so you can hear the engine noise, tyres slipping etc
Martin Armstrong this was one of my first video if u check my latest video I have change them a lot
very niiiiice joib
wytsfrevsf cheer thanks mate all thanks to my mate neil he has done most of the work for me
my uncle he has a `brand new` opel manta gt/j and a couple of other `new` vauxhalls inc a nova sr . He ran a dealership that went bust in 1985 and some of the inventory `found` its way into his barn and has been there ever since . I keep joking I will put them on ebay when he dies :-O
A great car but one with a propensity to rot in some weird places. Having seen how they were constructed from start to finish, in a TH-cam video recently, now I understand why my bulkhead looked like it wanted to rot into two separate panels.. lol.
hey, how often is this on ? when is the next one ?
Chris Ellis it is on at the end of every month usually the last Sunday of the month mate
Thanks, will be at the next one! @@MUDBrothers_4X4
Beautiful car. Shame not a lot of them about. Would love one myself!
Sun S thanks a lot mate it’s just getting re spray then will be going all shows
Fucking killed it lads nicely done...🇬🇧👊
Hi, is this event on tomorrow?
River Mersey yes it is mate
@@MUDBrothers_4X4 woohoo!
Oh gosh. I had an '87, bought her in '89. She had 40k on her and ran her for another 100k. The engines bullet proof, cam in head, chain driven, never did anything to the engine. I had a suspension spring snap one winter so replaced all. Had the diff re shimmed. And the the butterfly bearings wear and leak air. But what a car, still dream about her. D22CUT
black5f there great mate mine is just getting all the body done by a close mate hoping to be at shows this year
@@MUDBrothers_4X4 Cheers for the reply. There are still a few around ... becoming investments! She looks nice, they like to rot where you can't see, mine started to go just under windscreen pillar near the door hinge which as I remember ... the hinge on the body is welded? Lots of happy memories.
Yes they do mate mine is now full veal no rust just needs to be sprayed now
I really wish there was more of this sort of thing here, look at some of them cars 😍
This was a great morning seeing some fantastic cars 👍
What a great and proper varied selection of sweet motors!!! Nice bit of filming too.
David Kennedy thanks a lot mate 👍🏻

Hey wery nice bro)))
O oshurek thanks mate 🤟
Hey ya bastard messing with my stuff. 😁
Haha 🤣
Have a good Christmas mate 👍🏻
Gorgeous car, a mate had a gold GTE in the early 90s. Such a fun motor, our collective of friends were Vauxhall crazy with the Manta, numerous Novas and Astra GTEs (I had a 16 valve)
David Kennedy thanks mate ye really nice cars to drive don’t forget to subscribe and share give a prize away every 100 subscribe 👍🏻
Beautiful car!!!
