The Apurva Kempinski resort, Nusa Dua, Bali
It was our first time visiting Indonesia and we wanted to do it in style! It was also our first trip following our year abroad. We used Luxury Escapes to find a deal that included accommodation at the Apurva Kempinski resort, breakfast each day and either lunch or dinner each day. We got a welcome drink and a free drink every happy hour. We even had transfers from the airport and free massages included. We couldn't recommend them enough. We had the best time relaxing by the pool all day and doing not much else!
For a tour of the resort, start watching!

Why you NEED to visit Helsinki, Tallinn and Santa's village ASAP!
มุมมอง 1428 หลายเดือนก่อน
I had been dreaming of Finland for years! Finally we were actually going. Our dream trip included 3 days in Helsinki and 3 days in Rovaniemi (up north at the Arctic Circle.) The side trip to Estonia was very spontaneous and actually came as a recommendation from a real Fin when I asked what I should do in Helsinki last minute! Without Paula, it never would've happened. I don't think you've ever...
VAN LIFE in October in Wales. It was COLD!
มุมมอง 1269 หลายเดือนก่อน
We had never done the whole Van life thing before so we thought we would give it a try in Wales! We hoped the weather would be okay in October to see us through and we did our best to cope when things didn't always go to plan. I've written two blog posts about our experience. The first was written while on the trip and contains information about where we stayed and our thoughts on each of the c...

While away in Europe for the year my parents flew over to meet us in Scotland. We flew in from warm Spain and got picked up at Glasgow airport. Lucky we brought our puffer jackets because Scotland was cold in October. We caught a ferry to Bratislava, Slovakia

Bratislava is so close to Vienna that is was just a hop, skip and a jump to get there with many transport options to choose from. We chose to catch. the ferry that took an hour and 30 mins from Vienna down the Danube and arriving shortly at Bratislava. We enjoyed three days there and then caught the train back which also took an hour and a half. I'd say arriving via the water was a little more ...

A ferry hopping adventure in Greece

Instead of booking a cruise we decided to create our own itinerary and use the ferries to get to and from the Greek Islands. We travelled from Athens to Kos first which is VERY close to Turkey. Wow... You are clearly not meant to be travelling because you just don't have a travellers and explorers mindset.. Did you read even a few pages of a guidebook to try and understand Sicily? Taken a walking tour... Tried some food that represents the history of the place.. Really feel sorry for you guys as you missed out on a lot!!

Just came back from a trip to Sicily last week. Sorry to say that there is some truth in this video. Other youtubers are waaay to compleasant with Sicily. Yes, there are absolutely beautiful places to see (even in Catania) but there are also let downs here and there, and a whole lot of it. Transportation being probably the biggest issue we encountered with poor (more like awful) reliability of train and bus services. Dirt, trash, graffitis (litterally everywhere), etc, being also a thing. Honorable mention to some over hyped attractions (yes, i’m talking about you, Modican chocolat…). All this to say that around day 6 of 8 in Sicily, we where already fed up with the place and thinking of our next stop.

Why did you come in the first place? Go back to Australia if you don’t like Sicily bae Minute 5:12” There is nothing to do here” then show a paradise spot that in her mind suppose to scare people away from Sicily…wooooow, how scary, paradise on earth, let’s avoid it! So scary! I’ll tell you what, this is a strategy 😂, they wanna keep people away from Sicily so they can book hotel rooms that are all booked the whole summer 😂

I want to thank you both. I’m on Sicily right now. Last week, i’ve visited Trapani and Agrigento, right now i’m in Ragusa. I felt dissapointed toO. Especially since I adore the North and Centre regions of Italy. However, after seeing this video, I realize that the dissapointment is not because of Sicily, but because of my poor preparation. You guys mirrored my attitude perfectly and it makes me sick of myself. So, thanks for the reality check, i’m gonna enjoy myself now!

Just come back from Sicily & complete opposite to this. I fell in love with the place. So much to do and not enough time. Was very clean. Beautiful, friendly, hospitable people. Went in August was very hot but I like the heat. Not sure what else you would expect going those months. There is a lot of empty derelict buildings but it adds to the story of Sicily. Clearly had issues but name a place in the world that hasn’t! I felt safe there, not like here in England. We stayed in Alcamo, which is the opposite side. A vacation is what you make it. 🏖️

I have to think the creators of this video were trolling with the title, just to see how many views it would get. Everyone knows how passionate Italians are about their homeland, culture, etc. Whimsically (and stupidly) crapping all over a place like Sicily, sounds like the complaints of 4th Grade child who'd rather be at Disneyworld. Videos like this are why Westerners are hated in much of Europe.

What a horrible review of a beautiful island! You seem to have sought out every negative aspect rather than appreciate the beauty it offers. Perhaps you should have planned your trip in a season more comparable to your liking. I think the name of your channel is quite the misnomer. You both sound like you have Aussie accents, saying 29 degrees is too hot is a laugh coming from Aussies who live in one of the hottest summer countries in the world! You both sound foolish and HIGHLY ignorant with your assessment. You have no idea you are travelling through antiquity and history, if you want gloss and new, stay home..

Just got back from Sicily. A week was certainly enough. Food was nothing special and the people drop litter everywhere. I went on a Coach trip to Etnaland which was amazing and definitely worth it if you have kids and the volcano itself is very impressive but the sicillians on the coach were just throwing thier litter out of the windows and the bus door when we stopped for fuel. It could be such a nice place but a large proportion of the population need to learn how to respect thier own country. Overall it looks like a once beautiful woman abused and beaten by her own children. The beaches are too busy and many of them are private, again they could be beautiful but any of the natural beauty is painted over by the horrific amount of sunbeds and litter. Much, much nicer places in the Mediterranean. Croatia, Corfu and Turkey were my last trips and they were far and away better places to visit. The drought has also effected the landscape.
