    I used to love my walking foot. I tried to use it today, and it was skipping multiple stitches in a row repeatedly. When I switched to a normal foot, there was no problem. I've re-threaded and re-attached the walking foot, but it just keeps sticking in one spot, then jumping ahead an inch or two. The result is ghastly. Unfortunately, I'm out in the boonies in Mexico without a repair shop handy. I can machine quilt the whole thing with a regular foot, right?

    Shirley Campion: Thank you Sarah I make my skirts in the same manner as they are more comfortable as one gets older. I do have a tip which might be of some use to other viewers I use two old-fashioned babies' nappy pins as they have safety caps on and they are more secure, Having experienced exactly what happened to you so annoying.

    Any equilateral triangle ruler with holes at the points also make an easy and accurate way to mark the dots. Thanks for your great tutorial.Thank you too for not showing pinning through dots made on both side. If the edges are lined up, no need to engage in that extra "matching"...more work without any improvement in outcomes.

    What tension and stitch length do you have this set to?

    • @sarahpaynequilter590
      @sarahpaynequilter590 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. I just use the standard settings for my machine. the tension might need a slight tweek if you get "eyelashing" on the back of your quilt. I dont touch the stitch length because dropping the feed docgs overrides the stitch length. the faster you move your work, the bigger the stitch. the slower you move - the smaller the stiches. :)
