I really hope you still check these comments! I have a field that someone set up "vendor name" but it does not return anything in the column in the report. How can I reverse engineer this and make it attach to the vendor's name we have in the system?

Hi MAthieu, do you know how to find a field from other document (i.e. SO, PO, IR, WO). In my case when I try to create a reception report, I can´t not find the field PO number and received qty. I guess like other ERPs is a relationship table/map where I can find the table & right field name. Thanks

thanks for this. i want to create a search that connects a common element in two different records and have been told its not possible? any ideas
If the records are not directly related, then this isn't possible with out-of-the-box saved searches. I've worked on customizations in the past that allowed for it. You should also look into the 2021.2 Release Notes as they've apparently added what you need in Analytics Workbooks.

I have an older version of Netsuite. How do I add county taxes for state of North Carolina? Also, I need to be able to sort all states. Have not figured out how to sort by State. Many thanks for any help you can give.

Hi Anurag! Thanks for the question. My objective with this series of videos was to provide tips and tricks for ANY NetSuite user, regardless of industry vertical. If there's enough interest, I may consider doing a series related to warehouse and distribution.

How can we make the other columns editable?
Hi Ana! Thanks for the question. For the column to support inline editing, the field must be a body field and must be editable on your preferred form. Furthermore, some columns will never be editable, and this is a fixed NetSuite limitation. Some fields just need to be edited on the form or via CSV update.
You can attach a workflow or script to a custom field you add, and trigger that field via direct edit. Should work.
can I create a report for individual accounts?
If by Account you mean Customer, then yes, absolutely! You can use the Name field in the Criteria section to pick specific customers, or use it in the Available Filters section to pick the Customer you want after the search has executed. If by Account you mean GL Account, then use the Account field instead of the Name field. Let me know if that works!

Suggestion - how to search in fields that the global search does not include by default. Examples being the Vendor Product Code or MPN in an ITEM RECORD or the SERIAL NUMBER of an inventory item
