When is mice season?
@@chrisginoc anytime it's getting cold outside
I have this in a box waiting to be set up next weekend. Really appreciate a simple and straightforward review. Thank you
You're welcome. Maybe only thing to add here is I've learned not to use it for extreme lengths of time. I planed a bunch of rough oak boards over several hours straight and it heated up the plug connection at the extension cord and nearly melted them together. Other than that and rotating the dull blades once, this is a really great tool.
Thanks for posting!
You're welcome!
Thank you for the great tutorial. To call this door gasket a bitch would be an egregious understatement
There are 10 videos regarding expansion tanks and is by far the best. No ten minutes of blah, blah, blah just straight foward, concise clear information. The music ain't bad either 😉
Oh great idea ! I never tried that before awesome and I have wired up over hundreds of homes, see we can learn something from each other every day !
Great video.
Thank you!
Do I have to unplug my stove for this? I’m scared. Or it’s done to leave it on?
Instruction manual says to turn it off, but I didn't. It's similar to changing a light bulb in a lamp. If you want it off though, easier than unplugging it would be to switch off the circuit breaker.
Battery band saws are a lot quicker and cleaner
Yea but he doesn't show cutting it with the wire strands inside.
Right, I wouldn't use this method with wires inside
What? Do you even work in the field?
No. This is a homeowner DIY channel. Average homeowner won't have the same tools as a pro so this method should work well for a lot of folks
@@realhouseDIYbro un twist it and snip with some damn angle cutters it takes 2 seconds. If you whipped out an oscillating tool to cut bx mx or metal conduit, you'd get laughed off the job site. Stop the blue-collar cosplay man.
Cutting some metal flex with a vice and multi-tool??? My foreman would have first LAUGHED MANIACALLY - and then, IMMEDIATELY thrown me DIRECTLY off the job for both wasting time AND being a wuss, LOL......
Meh i was taught to push it together until it unravils a bit then some tin snips easy peasy
That’s exactly the way I know to do it
The full video is up with more detail on how to do this: th-cam.com/video/6uUW1Kp-x7Q/w-d-xo.html
On a job, you'll snap it and cut with dykes. Been on many jobsites, everyone that uses flex cuts it this way. Or a bandsaw
why not just use a grinder?
@@ChrisKoponyas sure can, but definitely not as safe
@ChrisKoponyas why not just cut it with tin snips? Be a man.
Thank you for this. My GE microwave has the same manual with instructions to unscrew .... when the bulb clearly doesn't unscrew. Thanks to you, I got it out! Off to HD to get a new bulb. I was going to set up a countertop lamp before I called a service tech for this. I think if the bulb inside the microwave goes, I'll be microwaving in the dark. Not paying $150 just to get someone in the door
You're welcome!
Could've ground several stumps in the time you was messing with that 1
By renting takes me twice as much time just to trailer it to and from the rental! Still thinking about buying though
This was soooo helpful! 🙏🏾
This was incredibly helpful! Thank you very much!
You're welcome!
interesting it splits both ways.
When I did mine last, I used a shark fitting on the downside of the elbow after the relief valve. That way if I have to do it again, I just release the pipe going down then wrench the elbow fitting off then remove the relief valve.
Nice, thanks!
Nice video! You have said that you can open the old relief valve to drain and drop down the pressure once all the valves are closed. Once you open all the valves to put the water back in the boiler, can you do the same thing and open the new Pressure Relief Valve to bleed the air out of the boiler?
I hadn't thought of that. Small amount of air I let the air bleed vents take care of. Larger amount I suppose I would feel more comfortable using the large valves with the garden hose vs the relief valve.
@@realhouseDIY In my case, the hose is the bottom very close to the ground, so can I let some water out for bleeding?
@@phitanvo4767 yes, there are some good videos to see how to do it. Basically connect a garden hose and run it outside. Open the valve and wait until the water comes out a steady stream with no air.
Thank you for sharing this information. This worked out great for me.
Great! You're welcome
How many psi i want to set ?
Not based on psi, though you will notice the psi is higher with water pressure also pushing (vs the low 5-7 psi with an empty tank). Open the beverage faucet while you pump air in and it will be easier, as it will push out some water at the same time. Just start with several pumps and keep checking the water until it is flowing how you want.
How its possible?
Without the water storage tank, you would only get a trickle of water from an RO beverage faucet because that's as fast as water can filter through the RO membrane. The storage tank collects filtered water so it can be dispensed at a faster rate. The tank is pressurized with air to help push the water out. By adding more compressed air into the tank you can adjust the flow rate.
I can’t unscrew that first piece I even tried with a screw driver but it is too tight.😢 any ideas of how can I loosen it?
I mean the piece after you remove the cover which should be hand tight
I guess I'd try to spray it with some PB blaster or similar lubricant and let it soak for a little while.
What a big waste of energy😂
@@BenValerie-w3x this size will split ok with the wedge and maul after it dries enough. But no choice with the larger 3-4 ft diameter logs.
Did you get that megaohmmeter on Amazon for like $60 ish?
Yes, that's about how much it was
Thank you! Most megaohmmeters are triple that price. My local tile store sells one for $500. Wasn't sure if I should purchase the Amazon product.
@@ivanrose7961 you're welcome! It works great for even this one use.
This one is interesting, pro level. Thanks for content! Common problem, and for some it's probably an "acquired taste", as they say in a movie.
Dude your dustport is clogged up, way too much sawdust!
Is what it is with a giant belt sander... Adding dust collection doesn't help much
Just heard a squeeze then another one and another! Thanks for the advice. Looks like my weekend is home repair.
Just installed this. My sprayer is not going back in as easily as yours. Did yours take some time to go back in smoothly?
No, mine was working fine right away. Possibly try watching the hose and weight under the sink while having someone pull the sprayer in and out. Or adjusting location of the weight
I never intentionally buy tamper resistant outlets.
Awesome! Thanks so much. I thought it was my filters alone. Quick and easy fix.
You're welcome!
Thanks for posting.. I'm doing almost the exact same thing, except I need to cut 3/4" solid oak flooring. Would you suspect the process will be the same?
Yes same. Just watch out for burning on the cut surface and adjust speed and depth of cut accordingly. I think that's a bit deeper than mine as well so be careful starting out those deeper cuts.
The music is the only good thing about this short.
Stop misguiding ppl. Mesh will show cracks very soon. Paper is solid
No cracks in any of my mesh uses 20+ years!
For those who don't know npt stands for national pipe thread used in the United States hope this helps somebody out
Thanks!
See the final solution in the linked video: th-cam.com/video/jl512ZO5b78/w-d-xo.html
What was the spacing for your gaps? Cheers
As thin as I could get. Mostly 1/16". The polymeric sand has the really thin particles that can fill the small gaps.
thanks for this man. so many folks saying to screw it off then it breaks and they have to use a sharpie. I didn't realize you just wiggle it out. Really appreciate it!
You're welcome!
How do I know what size I have without taking it off?
Get a rough measure of the outer thread diameter where it connects to the pipe, and subtract 1/4" and that's the size to get. So if it measures about 3/8", then get the 1/8" size.
Short video showing how to measure the size: th-cam.com/users/shorts018qhSog2Nw?feature=share
worse color choice to paint any floors! It'll show up footprints, dirt, cat pee etc etc
The white makes a basement super bright though
Apply a bead of caulk to the back top edge of baseboard. Wipe off excess. Nails not needed.
Don't think I've ever seen or heard of this. Might be okay if your walls are perfectly straight
@ apply enough so when you press it on the caulk will bleed out and fill it in. Wipe off excess
Talk slowly pls
Is there an easy way to purge air from the system other than the little valves on each baseboard ? Thanks Ed in Akron ,Oh
Easiest way is to avoid the need to purge a lot of air by using the shut off valves to isolate the part of the system you're working on.
Great
You're assuming the people working on that is actually labeling things like they're supposed to
More often I'm working on something and find a signature of one of the original builders of the house 🙄
Thats one big pipe
The metal protection plate extends a bit further than the pipe. But yeah it could be that size if it were from a second floor bathroom for example.
