The whale is dead when it was washed up.It has been dead for several hours and probably died before reaching the beach.

My husband said that the people who said it's a baby whale is probably just pulling my leg (making a joke) as that whale is huge and it doesn't look like a baby at all. Some says it's probably 5 years old. I don't really know the exact age. As far as I know,This is the second time that it happen.

So it has happened before. I assure you that it is a baby whale. If you would see the size of an adult whale, you would realize it is a baby whale.

@@mbalentlempinda7654 isn't it amazing how big it is and it's still a baby, imagine how big the Mama/adult is😱 I'd love to see a live whale someday in Hermanus. It was too late for us to see it this year.

Yes, a part of me want to see it explode as well. But just as well it did not, as the area will stink. It won't be good for the people living nearby.

They have their reasons why they are not putting it back in the ocean. As sharks might start going to that beach area and it's dangerous for people who goes there to swim. (my opinion) As far as I know they are taking it somewhere in town to do some research. They will probably put it back in the ocean into pieces to feed the fish etc but far from the beaches. To keep people safe from sharks.

Why would you say, "They should put it back, it needs help!

The whale is Dead, there is nothing they can do to revive it 😊 They are removing it from the beach to avoid stinky smell and to avoid exploding.

I feel so sorry for the poor thing 😥😥

@@mbalentlempinda7654 I know, but that's the fact of life. We will eventually die. When it's time it's time, we can't stop it.

Not a good idea as it's a residence place many people live by that area. And if they do that they will have to close the beach for a while.

Before we left, they were changing tactics. They want to roll it even further. Not sure what happen next. It took them hours to move the whale and a lot of planning. They tried pulling and pushing and the mouth side gushing with blood. They are being very careful just in case it explode on the beach.

We we're hoping to see the whale in the truck, We've waited up to 5 o'clock and still did not happen that's why we left as we still live far. I'm not sure what happen next not sure if they successfully move the whale to the truck, all I know is they we're in a hurry to move it as scared that it might explode.

People we're not allowed to get closer as it might explode. Some is so stubborn and still went closer. I did not as it also stinks bad.

It was my first time to see a whale closer and unfortunately it's dead. I was in a state of shock in the video as can't believe it. I've been asking people about what happen. Some people just gave nonsense answers like. Saying it's a baby whale but it isn't.

I beg to disagree, I don't see people laughing about the whale, they probably makes some jokes to their friends that makes them laugh. We all pity for what happened unfortunately we can't do anything to save/help it.
