I bought these to use for my art classes; this is an awful setup! I can't fathom or figure out why any artist would want to deal with trying to separate these like this! I'd definitely recommend doing this before painting because you risk ruining the paper or creasing it trying to get it separated, destroying the artwork you just took time to create. Odd way of packaging a block of sheets for artists

Yeah really sad that it’s impossible to find it in any art store and if you order it you almost pay what you’re paying for the paper

Can you use alcohol based markers with Yupo?

Good converstation. I have just started working with Platinum Palladium and it has taken my images up to a new level, I know have many of them on my website which look fantastic!

I find yupo impossible, I thought it would be fun, and you can remove paint, but overall it just does not look pleasing. Not great for watercolor.

Paper company, with a professional artist. Does not know that no one uses wood paper. lol

Everything sounds perfect about this. The only thing is the rounded edges which I hate and ruins this whole idea for me, removing the look of paper, creating an artificial feel, that will not look good for float framing at all. Also, with it being backed to a panel, there is no way of double checking if the oil paint paper holds up and that not anything seeps through, although it says it will, it is leaving it completely on trust. These two things are the only things that holds me back from this, or I would go all out and buy 50 pieces of the biggest size.

Hello Legion-I am sorry that you discontinued blue Stonehenge paper. That was a beautiful coloured paper and I wish you came out with a light sage green colour Stonehenge paper. I love your paper.

Does this paper last long?

I think I read a comment somewhere that this paper doesn't really need stretching. The comment was a little vague in that iT didn't get as specific as iT should have.

I don’t THINK you answered this question in the video (if you did, i missed it): Can painted paper be stretched in this manner?

I just tried some of this. I was surprised how absorbent it was considering it didn’t need prepping. I felt that I had to apply the oil in a similar way to gouache painting if I’m painting alla prima. I’ll be interested to see how the paper reacts to a more layered method.

Hi Legion paper! Recently I shopped at a local Dick Blick art supply store, and picked up a couple of your min-pads to try out your watercolor paper. It was lovely paper, so I went back and purchased a Stonehenge Aqua coldpress block, size 7 by 10 inches. The quality of the paper to the watercolor was excellent but I had a problem with releasing the paper from the block after the paint had dried. the glue used to secure the papers together is quite strong, and although I followed the steps in the video carefully, there was some tearing at the edges due to the strong glue. I had to stop.. and regroup starting at another edge. I was not happy. I will continue to use the block, but will try another method..to release it. Could you address this in the future? Perhaps test out other glues for the block paper? Thanks for the work you do, and thanks for listeing.
