A couple of years ago my sons an I traveled down to Southern California to see the Oakland A's(this was back when it wasn't a little league team) play the Angels. We were only in Anaheim overnight, but we managed to eat at THE HAT three times! Lunch before the game, late dinner after the game and then on the way out of town Sunday.🥳🥳🥳

I grew up in Temple City but I never knew there was a Hat location there. When I was a kid the place to get Pastrami was Mike's Pastrami on Rosemead across from the Temple theater (I think that's where it was. This was a long time ago.) Mike's was insanely good! A Pastrami sand, fries and a lemonade! PERFECTION. I love the Hat, too. And aside from Johnnie's Pastrami in Culver City on Sepulveda, it's the only place to get that style of Pastrami sandwich that I know of. So good!

Last time I went there, I ordered at the drive thru then drove around to get the food. No one ever came to the window.....So I drove off.

I’m very lucky to have come upon this wonderful restaurant while I was traveling in CA. After the first evening having the Chioppino, I had to return the next evening to try the Pan Roasta. Two great entrees.

When I lived in California I'd go to the one in Brea on state college and imperial I believe it was. I'm in Las Vegas NV, now and I miss the hat so much. I wish that they could open one up in Las Vegas the North West part of town, is a lot of new development and the Hat would make a killing out here. Well anyways I really miss The Hat. Great food great service great memories.

Whenever my wife and I traveled to So. Cal. we always visited one of The Hat restaurants for a pastrami dip. It is an experience that I can't express enough you will never forget. Don't forget the pepperoncini's as a side..

i would give large sums of money to anybody who can recreate the #6. The most important thing to me is the gravy that goes over the rice

The greatest restaurant in the world. First ate it as a kid with my dad at the temple city location and am always eating at the Pasadena location at the moment!
