Hi Joe!! It was great to see you at our BQSG Seminar in Leeds! Hope you had a good journey home 🎉
Yes, Thanks! Back home and back at work.
Thank you!
I just listened about a few minutes The Last Homely House and heard about your binding method. I am glad to learn it. Thank you for sharing your method!
Hello.😊 I just subscribed...thank Kate in the last homely house😉❤😎
I just watched you with Kate from The Last Homely House! I loved seeing your quilting process. Im from the Bay area... maybe one day we will cross paths. Happy Quilting!
I just watched your visit with Kate at The Last Homely House, and I’m impressed with your creativity and your wonderful, down-to-earth demeanor. I will definitely be following you on your quilting adventures. As a longtime traditional quilter, I’m intrigued by your style of improvisation, and would like to try my hand at your joyful, anything-goes approach.
Thank you so much!
Thanks! I appreciate it much. Kate makes everything easy.
What fun!!!🎉
Wonderful!
Looks like a fabulous time, Joe!
What a lucky group of quilters! That looks like just a wonderful day. Thank you for sharing with all of us!
I found you threw “ the last homely house “ quilting etc on TH-cam from the UK - I’m in Az - can’t wait to see what you do - kate_in_the_desert 🙋🏼♀️
Very cool!
❤🪖As a female veteran, I appreciate how blessed I am. Thank you for pointing out everything we have is a blessing. I used to make block quilts with borders. Your work is beautiful ❤️
Arne and Carlos walked the wall a year or so ago, on their way to Kate from the last homely house.
Fascinating how the word quilt came to be. In England with the Romans there was a system of ridges and furrows in fields marking owners boundaries. I don't remember the word for that but had a similar sound as quilt for the first part of the word. Sorry I have lost that. But ridges and furrows can easily describe a quilted work.
Perhaps the beauty of the shapes and the color combinations on your journey will inspire a few quilts?! Looks fun
You found the perfect solution to square and balance the quilt Joe. Looks great!!
I like that Joe!
Y didn't you do that I like this one
I like the red stripe addition -- definitely more in keeping with the overall quilt than your new bright blue fabric, IMHO. Have a great time in the UK!
I like the way you resolved your issue with the quilt, but it begs the question of why squareness is assumed to be a necessary characteristic in quilt making. I’ve dealt with this question before.
@@nancymathisen9707 Yes, I agree. Since I advocate for such freedom of design, it is a little odd that I want my quilts to be square and to hang flat on the wall. I just do. I cannot really defend it.
@@Joethequilter, I think we like the appearance of intentionality even when we embrace the accidental. Square and flat in functional quilting has definite structural and practical advantages so that subconsciously informs our bias (pun noted, but not intended), IMO.
Nice addition to the quilt. Do let us know your events calendar in England.
I like that addition a lot! Funny how a 'need' completes the piece. Great choice. I have watched you for years and have been so so inspired!
Another beautiful example of the way a "mistake" improves the whole thing! It looks like it was always meant to be. Thanks for the report.
agreed!
What amazing insights thank you so much for this lovely video and sharing 😅
What is that padded purple cylindrical object Margaret is holding while sewing?
Thank you Joe.
@@christinechapdelaine7104 Thanks for coming by, Christine!
1952 club! Lovely retrospective thanks.
Happy birthday! 🎉🎉🎉
