LEARN MORE ABOUT YOUR FUTURE COACH>>>>pxl.to/edwardcokejr
Needed this! I’m pmp and ACP certified but can’t seem to land a PM role currently. I was thinking of going for an MBA in PM but I don’t think it’ll make a difference after watching this video… what are your thoughts on this coach?
@eddier2k9 Excellent question! I would recommend applying to jobs even if you don't have the years of experience that the job posting is asking for. Next, I would recommend applying for more jobs than you have previously. For example, if you were applying to five jobs a day, then I would double it to 10 applied job searches a day. I would max out at applying to 25 jobs a day. Also, look at your resume, and identify from the jobs you have applied to that you have some of those keywords in your resume. A lot of times, resumes do not even pass the Application Tracking System (ATS), and they might be qualified, but the keywords are not in the resume. You just gave me a good idea for a video, I might have to do a video on the importance of having specific keywords in your resume. I hope this helps; my apologies for the long-winded response, but I want to see people like you who contribute to the channel WIN!
@@edwardcokejrperfect ok thank you! Keep up the good work. Content is solid. Looking forward to seeing the video.
Please dont stop making content i just found your channel this is helping me so much!!!! I've taken the DISC assessment i scored high as a S/C but lower in the I/D categories is project management still right for me? I am working in the healthcare sector would love mentorship.
@nicolee1005 Hello Nicolee, first, thank you for your kind words. Yes, project management is definitely for you. We are working on the mentorship program. Can you please email contact me here asqme.com/@projectmanager The link I provided you will allow me to put you on my list for when we kick off the program. Let me ask you two questions, first question is, what would you like to learn out of the mentorship program? Second question, what video would you like me to make around project management or Agile? Again, I truly appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment!!
@edwardcokejr Thank you for your response! I will be reaching out to go more in details of my journey but in the meantime I would love to see more videos on: Breaking into project management Building confidence in communication Handling conflict with professionalism Improving soft skills essential for project managers
This is a great episode. Sometimes I need to see and know.
@jwjoness It was definitely a reminder video for me as well. I know how easy it can get to go after education and certification, but the most important part is being able to take what you learned and apply it.
Ah, I see the critique brigade🚒👩🚒🔥 has arrived! But seriously, you’re doing great Sir, and the fact that you’re putting yourself out there and improving with each step is what truly matters. Funny how the loudest critics are often the ones sitting comfortably on the sidelines. Meanwhile, you’re out here actually doing the work and making strides. Keep at it-because progress is made by builders, not bystanders! Thank you for this episode!
@neosoulman, I really love that last part you said, progress is made by builders, NOT bystanders!!! Thank you for standing on business and having my back!!
You need to have better cadence. When you get rolling, it's good, but there's a decent amount of holes at the beginning of your paragraphs.
@the_jjabberwock Thank you for the feedback, I'm always looking for ways to improve.
By the way, I'm your favorite!
@jwjoness As always, I truly appreciate you checking in.
As for now I am utilizing agile methodologies within my personal life and hopefully will get a job soon. As a new CAPM graduate, I hoping the job market opens up. Especially when your linkedin is restricted. But I will take your advice and continue to us it in my personal life.
@jwjoness I definitely agree with the approach. I recently wrote an article on LinkedIn that I truly believe will be valuable to you. I will email you the article. I know you don't see it now, but continue to watch these episode and when the mentor community opens up, please make sure you connect. Most importantly, please trust the process. It is truly rare that someone has a straight line into becoming a project manager, and this is speaking from experience and feedback from some of my fellow project managers.
You seem chill, imma sub Im a producer, similar field so always worth learning
Your TH-cam channel is amazing! The content you create is instructive and informative, The production quality, creativity, and passion you put into your videos are evident in every frame. you are keeping me hooked with every video. Keep up the fantastic work, you're doing a fantastic job! 😊👍
Thank you so much for your kind words, that means a lot to me!

Exactly. Gen AI is something I need to work on especially taking the course. And scheduled to take 3 more courses in AI
@jwjoness That is a great call, I definitely see AI continuing to grow, so as project managers, we must equip ourselves for the potential changes coming to project management.
Yes 👍🏽

Your personal daily standup. Before the daily scrum.
@jwjoness- Absolutely... There is no such thing as being overprepared... lol Thank you for the comment, Jay!
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Thanks for the shout-out ED 👍🙏

Man, As I am sitting here missing all these questions on Project Management Plan on Udemy. Glad these are just practice quizzes.
@jwjoness That is exactly how you should be thinking... To quote my brother, Allen Iverson, we talking about practice, NOT the game... Practice... On a serious note, please continue to keep that mindset when you are taking these practice quizzes that you are genuinely practicing for the real thing. You know what, I think I should do an episode where I go through some quiz questions and break them down... I want to make sure you are successful.
@@edwardcokejr 🙏 Thank you.
This comes at the right time. I needed to hear this Ed. Many thanks!
@bigjude100 Really good to hear from you again!!! I really want to do more personal development messages because without the proper mindset none of this will matter! I appreciate you taking the time and leaving a comment!!
Good as I am taking my CSPO course now. I'll listen while I'm on lunch.
@jwjoness That is really good! What is the plan after obtaining the CSPO?
@@edwardcokejr As for now, I am applying to different jobs in my region but nothing seems to be open. I am studying for my CAPM hoping that helps as well. It is difficult because the market wants experience but what to do when you don't have any?
@@jwjoness When I first started in project management, I would apply to a project management opportunity even if it was asking for more years of experience than I currently had. Did I get rejected? Yes, more times than I could count, but I was looking for one organization to take a chance on me. If I received an interview, and the question came up that this role required more experience, then I countered that question by being honest that I didn't have the experience, but I am definitely coachable to learn, given an opportunity. I would also back this up with a professional reference that they could call to verify my claims. As you know, I am here to assist, please keep me updated.
Mr omar.
@Deadmemer330 Thank you for your response!
I feel stuck trying to land a pm role sucks no luck
@eddier2k9 First, thank you for reaching out... Can you please advise where you getting stuck at in obtaining a pm role?
This is awesome. Thank you.
@jwijoness You're Welcome! I appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment. Please stay tune for part 2. What other videos would you like for me to make?
@edwardcokejr what ever content you can provide? I'm learning from it all.
Thank you so much for this amazing video! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?

Also, will you discuss the difference between CSM, PSM, and DASM?
@jwjoness Great question! Let me work on creating a video around that. Thank you for your feedback!
🔥🔥 um preparing myself for the scrum cert test. Great content 👍🏾
@Thatworld-w5m I appreciate that... Thank you for leaving a comment. Please let me know if you have any questions about obtaining any Scrum certification.
Keep going unc
@sillyhecarimenyojer Thank you for stopping by Fam!!!
ED! YOU HIT IT ON THE HEAD WITH THIS ONE! I'm taking the CSM this weekend!
@jwjoness That is a really great plan to take your CSM. In capturing your CSM, it will also help you with the CAPM, ACP or PMP. Let me know how I can help!
@@edwardcokejr I still studying for my CAPM. I will take my CSPO course this upcoming weekend. As I posting my resume out there, I noticed that Google PM really doesn't hold much weight. But I am glad I took it to give me an idea of how handle a project. Should I purchase Max sheets, wait till I achieve my first job to see what they use, or wait till I start my graduate program to see if I receive free access to school software? I see that being a PM/SM is like being in the wild west, the lifestyle is the same but the choice of weapon is a personal preference in regards to software.

@robertduda4234 I hear you... Thank you for watching and leaving a comment!!!
Great quote that has no relevance whatsoever to "leadership" or "project management". No wonder this channel has no views; it's just bullshit wearing a suit. The quote has nothing to do with modern go-get-it wannabe entrepreneurial productivity porn. It is a comment on many aspects of society which impede progress and facilitate exploitation.
🎉

Interesting
@sillyhecarimenyojer I would definitely agree!

@edwardcokejr As I just earned CSM, I see there is DASM, and PSM. Mind blowing
Keep up the good work, sir
@terrygaki7371 Thank you for your kind words!!!
Thanks for the forecast! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
You give so much info for free. I am so grateful for this information.
@jwjoness Thank you! I appreciate you saying that because I am building this channel for someone like myself who made a career switch, dealing with the trials/tribulations in project management, and most of all, understanding what is not said so people can learn from my mistakes and grow.
Bravo ED!
Thank you, Phill!!!
