Regarding for loop for arrays, why Hey and Buddy came in separate lines in output when we included them in array like " Hey Buddy" which comes under one index number
Good catch. So from array it comes as a single value - Hey Buddy But for, for loop it considered as two values because of space separated.

If you execute umask, then it will be only applicable to your space and your files. If admin user do it, it may be applicable to whole system.

See, we can check if a process or application is running or not using ps or pgrep command and we can add a If-else condition to check in our script simple. exmple #!/bin/bash if pgrep -x "httpd" >/dev/null then echo "App is running." else echo "App is not running." fi
