@@mindovermatter341 In 2019 at BCT, some soldiers got issued white socks and some black so they didn't care and DA PAM 670 - 1 says white or black socks are permitted unless I'm missing something.
i graduated basic during this time, i remember cause the DS was screaming 😂

Not a military guy, but I get a big kick out of cadence. A fun fact from a big old know it all: the call and response form has its roots in traditional African music.

I was walking down the street with my m9, I was killing, killin, killin some time, First I lock, Then I load, Then I point, Let it go! Blah’Blah Blah, Blah, Yeah that’s my GAT. (Repeat 1x) Walking in the jungle with my m16, I was killin, killin, cuz I’m mean, First I lock, Then I load, Then I point, Let it go! (Repeat Chorus 2x) …continue to just pick a weapon system and rhyme it. IE 240’OH -killin some Mo’ M4 - killin some more Etc etc

Great cadences. Cadence king. I wanna be able to switch back to different cadences like that and have the soldiers motivated this motivating me here at Fort Jackson at Drill Sergeant school
