1:54 manuel gomez a man who was trying to climb down the south tower loses grip and falls to his death
It's a beautiful melody but such a tragic event
I keep coming back to this one
best song
Can you do funny how time slips away reverb?
"Mike, we gotta go! _MIKE!"_
MIKE!!!!!!!
The Muzak is amazing, but, unfortunately,Manuel Gomez Jr. died when it was played on the Plaza (That man who fell from South Tower)
This Song Was Playing When Flight 11 hit the building, then at 8 48 How can you mend a broken heart playerd
Can you do timeless
can you do black cow plz
Es como estar frente a las puertas del paraiso y del infierno al mismo tiempo
Ah, this is so nostalgic
Islam is a subhuman religion
Needs some slight delay/echo bouncing from the various surfaces of the plaza including the towers to add some form of spatial directionality
Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to improve in my next ones!
I recognize Century 21. This store has been around since 1979. It was just accross teh street from the World Trade Center's South Tower. I love the red tulips. Thank you.
Very beautiful, thanks for uploading.❤
Bluetooth speaker goes hard
Wonderful song
That photo looks like it was taken on a modern smartphone. Its quite earie to be honest to see the past captured in a way that makes it feel like it was just yesterday.
I can't listen to HDIYL without hearing "See that falling, That's a man!" There's something morbidly beautiful about these songs.
I dont see marriot hotel? Where is it?
Was not yet built until 1981
@@mrlemon9880 I prefer if it wasn't. Kinda obstructs the views of the Hudson with the towers, looking from the perspective of the plaza.
@@GothRailfanThe World Financial Center, though
@@Gi1vaZummer I know.
@@GothRailfan Gotcha
Philippe petit the Frenchman who put a tightrope at the top of the trade center in the early 70’s. Said that when they rebuild them, he would like to put another tightrope so that he can relive the experience again. And possibly give hope to the people, unfortunately they constructed a bland modernist skyscraper that would not stand out in any skyline.
if they rebuilt, they would be attacked again. History that is forgotten will likely repeat itself.
True, it just bland to the other skyscrapers. This buildings shouldn't never been associated to the twin towers at all.
to be fair the twin towers were extremely bland and modernist also. saying that they weren't is just wrong.
These are incredibly done. As morbid as it is I always find myself watching Jack's footage because of the music and how it represents the dying of an era as the smoke billows out the burning remnants of a place that brought such happiness to us and made us feel magical inside along with innocence. and the music is almost like the music that was played on the Titanic as it was sinking. It has a calming effect in some ways but a horrendous feeling at the same time. Thanks for taking the time to master these recordings. Its pure brilliance.
Why is the beginning cut off
???
I’m sorry to tell you but my version has better reverb and is slowed slightly. th-cam.com/video/ELT1b6BMfKQ/w-d-xo.html
Apparently this was the last song that played in the plaza that day. I akin this to the World Trade Center's "Nearer My God To Thee" Edit: I've done some research since this comment was originally posted and found out that "She's Always a Woman" was not the final song that played that day, there were a couple of songs that were recorded during the events, here is a video that roughly syncs the songs with the times they most likely have played. th-cam.com/video/-QrGl0Poq-o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TeoJ5Q-vNMglxs6V
i think it was "How deep is your love" when the South Tower collapsed.
@TheGamingWarIord I don't believe any song was heard when the towers fell, but "How Deep is your Love" was playing when one of a couple people fell from the South Tower. It's heard in Jack Taliercio's footage from the plaza if you want to look it up, just be warned though, it does show the person falling.
@@ashtondoublet8334 I've seen the video, I've also seen pictures of the blood of jumpers, but I've seen worse in my life.
@@ashtondoublet8334and also when a man was trying to climb down the south tower

Will you upload these as separate videos?

that reverb really helps recreate what it sounded like in the plaza in the videos i’ve seen. it’s eerie, yet calming in someway.

Can you also do the reverb effect to windless? Its the mysterious pre HDIYL song.
Sure! I actually have made it since it was discovered, it will include SAAW, HDIYL and Post-HDIYL!

It's actually part of the sculpture even before 9/11!
One of the songs played in the plaza during the attack of 2001. The calm music fitted with the chaos a quarter mile in the sky.
