The Compelling case for concrete pipes - Exhibit One: Cost
มุมมอง 16K4 ปีที่แล้ว
When costing a drainage installation, there is more to consider than the price of the pipes. This video explains why the price of bedding and infill material can affect installation costs significantly and how the type of pipe (concrete vs. plastic) would not only affect installation but also deliveries associated with granular materials. All figures in this video are based on BPDA’s Material C...

Every time I see 'Bonna', it reminds me of Jules and Sandy from 'Round the Horne' - th-cam.com/video/Nvewe_3Xco0/w-d-xo.html - Bona's watertight manhole indeed!
seems like that head cant rotates, so the excavator has to do the extra walk.
Plastic lasts much longer than concrete
And it's much stronger. Rock is not suggested or required as a bedding material for most HDPE pipe. Most manufacturers suggest best practice is to install soft lift material...aka sand or loamy fill.

If the collapse had been due to flotation of the corrugated steel pipe, it would pushed its way trough the road construction and asphalt. What actually caused the collapse is a wash out of the masses surounding the pipe. This due to too litle capasity of the pipe or a clogging / blockage of the pipe. This occurs regardless choice of material on the piping system. There is a lot of examples where this has happened and the pipe system was made of concrete. Try being a bit more objective with the facts when commenting the events. Especially when the comment is obviously wrong. Finally, no, I am not working in the corrugated steel pipe business.
i want one!!
