But then they saw the empty tomb, they saw what Luke called "many proofs" of the resurrection of Jesus. To continue in unbelief after all that is to sin against even more light. Love you dad!

Good Afternoon Hendrik, The Bible tells us in clear language that that the earth is a globe: Is 40:22. Observations from the surface of the planet show us it is a globe. I have spent many hours looking at the horizon through a submarine periscope and watched ships slowly rise on the horizon as they got closer, starting with just seeing the tip of their mast, then the whole mast, then the superstructure, then at close ranges the entire ship. We have flown all around this globe and know it to be round, we have sailed the oceans and know it to be round. We have pictures from manned voyages and unmanned voyages (like Voyager I and II). We know, with absolutely certainty, that the planets in our Solar System, including earth are round. God did lay the foundations of the earth (Job 38:4), we will talk more about that in Genesis 7, and God surely had a planned diameter and measurement for Earth (Job 38:5). God also shut in the sea (Job 38:8) and we will talk about that in Genesis 7. But every line of evidence points to one truth, the earth, like our sun, moon, and indeed all the planets in our solar system are speres, spinning in space. God bless, Rich

@@Proclaiming_Truth thanks for taking the time to point at all you mentioned. Let me ,permit me, there is a lot of things ( real, realities) with us , existing with us at the same time. Over time, leading up to a point. Like fortune telling is a reality for many , but we are called not to be part of it. By the voice of God. In the Word of God. How can we accept something that is against the Word of God. Because of man's wisdom? Because of man's words ? Look at evolution? What do man's wisdom say now? If you, me , anybody whant to know the truth, get God's Word on the matter. Matthew 4 : 4. Believe God, not man's wisdom/today's science.

Good Afternoon Hendrik, Of course you are correct. Let God be true and every man a liar (Rom 3:4). But, the Bible is clear in Is 40:22. I will show you a few different versions: “It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:” (Isa 40:22 AV) “It is he that sitteth above the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in;” (Isa 40:22 ASV) “It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in;” (Isa 40:22 ESV) “God is enthroned above the circle of the earth; its inhabitants are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like thin cloth and spreads them out like a tent to live in.” (Isa 40:22 HCSB) Science does not correct God’s word! I agree with you on that point. @@Proclaiming_Truth the way science , the model they say ,a spinning,round, sun, moon and stars are not what the Word of God teaches. The verse you use is closer (part of) the model of the scriptures. We contradict ourselves if we say "God is true " than whant to use God's Word (part of ) to show science is the truth. While the ever changing science is not i repeat is not acknowledging God no, it should be God's Word showing the truth. That way we say make God's Words equal to or less than what science say? My friend, do you know who God is? Then we will believe His Words and not man. Pleas read Job 38, if God is the Alfa and Omega . Poeple are creations, and most of them do not glorify God , in what they say and do. Wisdom is knowing the Power of God. May God bless us to know His Will.

Good Morning Hendrik, The Bible is true, and observational science, when rightly understood, will always confirm the Bible. Because... The Bible is true. When I use science, it is not to say that science is the ultimate truth. It is not! God's Word is the ultimate truth, but science, when rightly understood will be in line with that ultimate truth. Example: God created life and it did not create itself. Observational science shows us the complexity of life and the statistical impossibility of life evolving through any process. Example: God created each animal after their kind; thus they cannot reproduce outside of those kinds. That is what we see with observable science. Final example: God sits enthroned above the circle, or the arc, of the earth, He is the one who stretches out the heavens (Is 40:22). We look into the creation, using observable science and see both of these things are true. There are of course many more, but at this point, please direct me to one verse that you believe I am contradicting on this matter of spherical planets, moon, and sun. Thank you for your response. First, the Big Bang is not science, it is a theory, it is a worldview, it requires faith, and indeed vast amounts of it. It is telling that you do not respond to any of the claims from the presentation like; something from nothing, the nothing that is really something, inflation, dark matter, or dark energy. If you want to respond to those charges, please I am listening. As one of the scientists indicated, it is preposterous to say that 85% of the matter in the universe is something we know nothing about, or as Spike stated, for every universe you can see, there are six universes that you cannot see! This is the “reality” that continuing to cling to the Big Bang has led us to. As far as your comment: “even if we falsify the Big Bang...” It has been falsified, if defies physics, it is not science. The only reason it has not been abandoned is there is no other competing theory outside supernatural creation. As far as the Bible and its reliability. The Bible has proven itself to have a supernatural origin. It is filled with prophecies that have been fulfilled down to the most minute details. In the prophecies involving the coming Messiah, we have over 100 prophecies (where he would be born, when he would be born, his lineage, where he would live, his manner of life, how he would die, etc.) that have all been completely and accurately fulfilled. This is simply impossible outside of supernatural origin. The fact that Christians disagree about the origins of the universe does not change the facts mentioned above, specifically: 1) The Big Bang is a failed theory that is being held together with theories that themselves unscientific and not validated by observable science. 2) The Bible proves its supernatural origin in the hundreds of fulfilled prophecies about the coming Messiah. Because the Bible has proven itself to be completely reliable, I have great confidence in trusting what it says about origins. Finally, please hang with us, we will make the global flood and there is a great deal of evidence that it was a real event. Loads of evidence! We will see where the water came from, where it ended up, and all the evidence on our planet that points to that reality of a global catastrophe. Meanwhile, I would encourage you to check out our verse-by-verse study through the book or Romans. Rich
