i know it was 5 years ago, but any idea what doll body base you used/any recommendations?

first of all, good tutorial <3 but I am stuck in the green part of the frog, I do everything right until the next row to row of single crochet of 12, the decrise, looks like this: decrise, single, decrise, single, decrise, single, decrise and single, a gurup od decrise-single total of 4 times (2+1+2+1+2+1+2+1 in total 8 stiches) then in the next row it is: decrise, single, decrise, single, decrise, single, a group decrise-single 3 times (2+1+2+1+2+1 in total 6 stiches) but if you decrise those 8 stiches: decrise, single, decrise, single, decrise (gives 8 stiches. like 2+1+2+1+2), but you end up with 1 stich. How?

when you turn the project to do the other side of the row each time, do you chain 1? (are you chaining one at the start of a new row only, or chaining one everytime you swtich to the other side of the row, so chaining 2 per row?)Does that make sense lol. Or do you not chain 1 at all until the flap part?
