The example he gives is Grenfell where they knew the fire risks to the cladding used but did it anyway to save money . In this context the "gamble" didnt pay off as a lot of people lost their lives in the fire.

So to give some context to the song - the NHS refers to our national health service where healthcare is free but our nurses are not paid enough they only earn around $40k in usd and we have really high cost of living and taxes. The Grenfell tower tragedy where 72 people died and basically the fire happened because the builders of the tower and the council did cost cutting practices that avoided health and safety and nobody has been arrested for it. Then he mentioned how the USA can trade whole 'arms' with Saudi Arabia but not give a 'hand' to palestine - this one is tough because every country will want to do what is best economically for their country. Also in terms of if government policies are a gamble is tough to say because they have advisors, reports, and they simulate the policies to ensure they get the best out of them but there are factors that are a gamble as nothing is certain and surprisingly policies that change our finances will change how many people live or die with the 2008 financial crisis leading to >5000 suicides alone. Sorry for the long comment.

My wife and I have been married for 48 years. Compatibility was the name of a game we played at the beginning of our marriage. We played it for a few years there after. Seems the longer we were married the less we knew each other. Lol. I think when you’re dating and early on, you make more of an effort to know what the person thinks. The object of the game we played and I would’ve thought that of the game you’re playing, was to see how well you knew the person. So instead of asking your spouse a question and having them answer it, I think ii’s better if you read the question then guess how your spouse would answer the question. You would get points if you were correct? Requires honesty though. Did you ever see the newlywed game on TV? Probably not as it was long before your time.
