Things happened during this last month, and I really couldn't handle myself anymore, the jockey academy is no longer a completely pleasant place for me, and I can be sure of what I'm telling you.
I was in my last year before becoming an official apprentice jockey and being able to go out on the track, I decided to leave the academy for the sake of my own mental health, and most of the time it comes down to that, training horses, giving my best, best of himself, only to then go unnoticed over the other riders with more opportunities in front.
So, in the end I decided that my place would be in the owners' box, only being the owner of a horse from which I will undoubtedly expect great things.
Something I want to clarify is that this bad experience I had at the academy does not happen in all other jockey academies, it is something that normally happens really, since the jockey profession is based on probabilities, there will never be anything really certain.
So if your dream is to become a professional jockey, don't give up on that dream, since you never know how far you can go. In my case, I will only have to watch all the young promises of horse racing, wishing everyone the best equally ❤️
