My husband had the very same treatment as this lady, his cancer was 7.5cm under his tongue, he had the surgery, tongue totally removed, radio therapy, chemo , then told it was all clear, one week later we had to go back because I could smell it, it was terminal. He died 10 months later. It was extremely hard for him and me, he turned really nasty and aggressive, saying it should be me that should die! He put his drugs in my drink to kill me, luckily I saw him doing it, he cashed in his pensions without telling me leaving nothing for the funeral, or for me to live on. He left me with £35,000 of debt, bank accounts stripped, to the day I die I will never know where the money went, we only lived in a one bedroom flat, no carpets, we were poor, the companies he owed money too wouldn’t discuss it with me as I wasn’t the account holder. I sorted most of it out slowly, but £3,000 had to be payed for back rent and council tax. He died Christmas morning at home as he wanted, Boxing Day I spent bagging everything that was his, called a charity and they collected it, it sounds terrible I know, but I just wanted no reminder of him in my home. Life is difficult because the pension money had gone so it’s just my old age pension I live on, no holidays or days out, no luxuries, but I’m safe and happy, at last.

Make sure to have your dentist do a thorough inspection of your mouth. My brother in law passed away last year from this type of cancer. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. This lady is so lucky to have found it as early as she did.

I asked my dentist to give me an oral exam. She said they don’t really do that I insisted and I had a very good dental technician and she gave me quite a thorough check.

I never cried over a story before. I cried for her.

They dont know anything, dont care, have no treatment, no cure. And have learned nothing in 60 years. Cut it out and nuke the body. They have done this for 60 years. Zero advancement. A fkn crime scene is what this is. A fraud against life.

Ha same but on jaw. This dentist was awesome. My tumor was next to jaw. They took 66% of jaw, rebuilt with fibula bone from leg. I wonder how many weeks pot op she was here ... still looks swollen. My incision is below jaw line, hidden. I'm 25 days post-op. No radiation needed. Tumor did not spread anywhere but it was big and hiding in lower pallet. But cosmetically I'm looking good. She can get cosmetic surgery probably. I'm 100% cancer free post surgery.

You are a tough, blessed soul. My father died from squamous cell carcinoma in his cheek. I know it’s one of the toughest battles you will ever fight. Congratulations to you for winning the battle. God bless you.

39, never smoked or drank, excellent oral health. Tongue cancer. FROM WHAT?????? what gives a healthy 39 year old cancer? A VIRUS? WHAT VIRUS? I WANT TO KNOW GD M IT.

Please let me help. I am into my fifth day of tongue surgery where they took part of my tongue. I could have been prevented if only the Doctors would have heard me cry an beg for help with a small spot under my tongue. They put me off . It took 8 months to get the tumor removed. With all of my being I will do what ever it take to help with awareness. Please let me help. Just answer this text and let me know what I can do. Thanks
