This unit arrived with the complaint of firing on 2 of 4 cylinders on the same bank. Upon opening it up there are obvious signs of corrosion and water damage. We will need to strip the conformal coating from the board, wash it, and reflow all solder once completed, we will determine if the 2nd bank output transistor that is corroded is salvageable. . www.SAOelectronics.com

I have the SW-112. My backplate rattles when its playing but its all tight on the outside. If i put hand pressure on it it stops. Should i pull the back off and check for internal component being loose? Must be simple fix just looking for suggestions before tackling it. TIA

What part is that on the board and do they make a upgraded version of it? I heard there was a recall on the 12.2 from me vendor QSC uses I don’t wanna buy another app if it’s gonna burn out again I’d rather put better parts onto the board. Any ideas? I appreciate your help. Thank you.
@@djkingjames1359 - newer units don't have this problem. Repairs done by authorized service centers use different value parts for this repair to prevent it from recurring.
@@djkingjames1359 - we have not had one come back with the same problem yet. The transistor is a mosfet.. the diodes are 110PL
What is the correct specification for the Mosfet? I can't find it from the printed code to buy. Is F1 a fuse?

It's a very simple circuit, schematic is not needed to troubleshoot. At a minium you need a PWM generator and a DC motor to test with.

Hey i got 2 boards that got burned out cause the owner replaced the 10 amp fuse with a 25 amp. And the board has alot of holes through the paths. Wa swondering how you would repair that of possible

i have the same board with white connectors. motor starts for 2 to 3 seconds and then stops. i wait for a few minutes, reset switch and again it starts fir few seconds and it stops. connected motor to a 20v battery and ran with no issues for like 2 minutes. what could be the issue?
what is Q5 and where is it located on the board? thanks
Q5 is the last stage of motor speed control. It is an N-Channel MOSFET. It is mounted to the board and heatsink where the board is marked "Q5".
Great job, what did the repair consist of besides replacing the Q5 transistor?
On that one, Q5 was it. Many times it is also Q1, R24 and if they have bugs or mice we have to clean and reflow U2 depending on the Board Rev.

If there is a drive installed go to bios F2 GO down look for the dive and disable UDMA and fast /io4
There's no drive installed, the unit operates as expected.
