After visiting Mystic Grand Canyon of Tianshan (天山神秘大峡谷）on foot with loads of tourists, this ‘next door’ Keziliya Grand Canyon was definitely more enjoyable as we could self drive & explore the vast canyon with just a handful of other tourists.

This video was filmed 10 days before the devastating earthquake that struck Hualian in Taiwan on 3 Apr 2024. It is with heavy hearts that we look back on this footage, capturing the serene beauty of Taroko Gorge before the tragedy. The majestic cliffs and tranquil river, now remind us of the fragility of life. Our thoughts are with the people of Taiwan as they rebuild and recover from this great loss.

Rich marine life. Beautiful. Very accessible snorkelling spot, just swim out from the white sandy beach.

I have made the same video but from a motorcycle. This valley was for more than 25 years my place for holidays.
