S550 Mustang EcoBoost Premium Review / Walk Around
Wow, great job. Thanks for the pointers
How much did you pay?
$150 on American muscle
great vehicle
Wow, thanks for bringing back some great memories! I had a 2 door 73 Montego MX with the 351 Windsor. It had a forest green exterior with a white vinyl roof. The interior was dark green and it was straight forward bench seat with the split back to aid in entry to the rear. It only had 30,000 miles! I bought it after I graduated high school in 1979 and got my first real job (apprentice electrician). I bought it used from my uncles who owned a Ford/Mercury dealership in Humboldt Saskatchewan, Canada. I lived in on a farm with my parents at the time where many of the roads were gravel and we had long cold winters (40 Below). This car was considered a mid-size but it sure did handle the gravel roads at 70 miles and hour too! (dumb teenager!) and cold winters. Also the big sprawling interior was a bonus with hanging out with friends and going on 'booze' cruises. (I know, dumb teenager....but this was the seventies) I lent it to my older brother at Christmas time, for his truck was in the body shop, so he could take his girlfriend out on a date. It never came back...he rear ended another car and totaled it! Everyone was OK, but I lost my Montego! I occasionally look for one to buy, but they are very rare now so I doubt it will happen. Again, thanks for the video and memories. Take care!
Thanks for the great story !!
We get it, your dick is massive
Please don't it sounds like crap and it's fucking annoying
F*** your loud car
i broke
Louder?
Yes the camera doesn’t pick up great but it deeper and louder it’s a lot more noticeable while driving
Bros back!
Yes !!
Which model is this bro? 2020???
2011 Mustang Gt Premium
I had a 1972 Mercury Montego and drove it to high school in the late 80's.
My dad had a 72 Montego mx when you cranked it up man that brought back great memories. It was baby blue with a dark blue vinyl top. Got to drive it when dad got his new Mark V.
In 1977 I was a sophomore in high school & bought a1974 Mercury Montego MX 2-door with 40,000 in mint condition for $1000. It then had a high Bluebook of 2500. It was a solid deep dark bronze hardtop with brown interior & white seats. Front seat was bench with headrests. it had a 302 2-barrel & emission standards tuned it down to 140 net horsepower. The engine was bulletproof dependable & got great gas mileage; probably the best car I ever owned. I miss it sorely!
I love the color
Cool thank you . By the way . I live in las vegas .... Stay in touch... Have a great day .
O just bought a 2017 ecoobust premium used with 74000 miles it was a fleet car will taken cear of . Bright yellow. My las mustang was a v6 3.7 o only had the car a yesr and 4 mouths. It was a great car. But jan 3 of 2024 o was T boned on the right side tòok out thr fram snd blew off my back tire and took out my back bumper and sprong my trunk open. The car was totalled. I looked around for a mustang. O was not surr of an ecoboost. Test drivd it and it was fast. Mt question Maintenance with a turbocharger. Is there anything that has to keep the turbo charger in running shape. I never had a turbo charger before before. Doesn't have the Mustang sound, but that's okay. I like the idea of thirty wood miles to the gallon on the highway since I go to california electrical surfing
Not really had for a while now no issues
I have a question about working on this car!

took a rental EcoBoost up hwy 1 up to fort Bragg from bodgea bay had to dog it big turbo delay, zi u gave anticipate it by several seconds. plus the EcoBoost engine has a lousy reputation for maintenance problems. my coworker own 1 and reading in within 2 years. If you're going to own a mustang 5.0 L is the way to go.i bought z basic and with the mon6i save compared to the premium I made a ton of upgades. listed nxt. 😂
I had a 1974 Mercury Montego back in 1991. Mine was blue and had a bench seat and the automatic shifter was on the steering column (no console). Driving that car took some getting used to because, as in the video, the hood was like six feet long. I really liked it. My dad inherited it from his brother (my uncle) who passed and he gave it to me to drive when I went away to college. Mine also had a 351 but I believe it was a 351 Windsor. Unfortunately either the rings or the valve seals were worn because it went through a court of oil about every 200 miles. It only got around 12-18 mpg but gas at that time was only about $1 a gallon, so no problem. Nowadays this would cost a fortune to drive as a daily driver.
Hey Clayton - thank you for bringing back such wonderful memories of my 1973 Montego MX Brougham. It was a 2 door - forest green - Black interior - with a black rear quarter vinal top and moonroof also the same motor as yours with a 4 barrel. I ordered my car from Wesley Motors in Monit North Dakota when I was in the Air Force stationed at Minot AFB. It did have an AM/FM radio with 8 track and every bell and whistle offered by FOMOCO. I loved that car. The ride was similar to the Continental Mark IV. It was a pleasure to drive and own.
The reason I got an R/T was good daily definitely has some punch to it when you get on it. Also has a lot off room for upgrades and adding horsepower to it if you decide that’s the way you want to go.
Yep true and they aint high risk theft
What do you do for a living?
Operation manager
love my rt got mine in feb. perfect daily driver comfortable can be fast when you need it too and some dope upgrade options
Totally agree!

Mid 70s Mercury Cyclone?

@@ClayRivait oh. Cool
Nice Car
Thanks
bro needs a professional carb tuner NOW
I really like that......sharp.
There's a cure for that; any GM product. Buy a muffler, some paint & it'll still drive like shit, it's slow, & a gas guzzler too. No, thanks.
Nice video man about to do mine as I type this thank you! We have the same colored car btw
Mine is the brougham which is not much different except trunk latch cover ( not easy to find)
Mine is A/C cat
More rare is wagon model
I have a bunch of guitar strings, can a guitar string be used instead of fishing line? I have a 2015 mustang gt in black and want to go with the race red emblems but I'm afraid of messing up the paint. Thanks for the video.
I had the same year with the 400 cubic inch & Your correct about the Roof having vinyl top. Never saw a Factory Painted Top.
Very nice car! I have a white '73 Montego GT. It has a 429 4V, power windows, cruise, tach, and the twin scoop hood. Love these cars.
10/10 that's a cool car.
Had a 74

Its got a grand torino exterior in the back
This is my favorite car of all time. My parents purchase a demo to save a little. I believe it had 260 miles on it. It was a 1973 2 door Mercury Montego Brogham. I was just turning 16 so it was my first driver. Two years later they gave it to me for graduation. The 118 inch wheel base made it ride as nice as a Lincoln or Montery with only 6 inches more. To me it is the best sporty style luxury car ever made. The optional Cleveland engine would not compete with muscle cars in a race but it would take the initial lead for the first 1/8 th of a mile than almost all of them around back then. It was best for times of needing to pass a slow driver on a two lane road. Since it was a demo it came with all of the options. It was the best looking imo with the dark metallic green (ivy I think) and the beige model top. I'm not sure why but on each side behind the rear windows where the vinyl drops was the emblem the only read Brougham instead of MX Brougham. Also the vinyl wasn't spilt in the rear like many. A great car I'd like to own again one day.
Great to hear. Yes absolutely love this car too
I had a 2021 GT Premium with a manual MT82 transmission. Complete garbage! I could put up with the hard plastic interior, engine tick and the glitchy electronics, but the drive train was garbage. Kept the GT for 2 months and unloaded it....was a pile of junk. Bought a real car from another manufacturer with a standard TREMEC couldn't be happier...FU FORD! BTW - if you did buy this POS with a MT82 you can join the class action suit!
Wow very knowledgeable!
I loved these cars. Haven't seen one in decades. Thanks for sharing.
Nice car. I have a 75 they are great drivers.
Thanks
the Montego was a cruising vehicle. it was basically mercury's variant of the Thunderbird\ Torino. it was a well-known car for its good handling and speed for its size.
