South Africa

Our travels showcase great destinations, travel tips and give you the info to get out there & have fun!
We love the African Bush and all of the sights and smells. Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.
Under an African sky, possibilities are infinite and peace is there for the taking.
The richness we achieve from nature, is the source of our inspiration. The deeper you go into the bush, the quieter it gets in your head.

Dear Rose, thanks for trip-sharing and info-sharing. It all looked great once again. You mentioned an early return due to a Kurumna issue. Can you elaborate? Was it extra unsafe? Did you adjust your drive back? Also, it's unfortunate to hear about Mabua and the lions. I've read about it; not pleasant. In three weeks, we're off to Kgalagdi, October Kruger, Februarie, Khutse NP, and Kgalagadi Botswana side. Then, September, three weeks in the Mara triangle to catch the great migration.
Hi, yes not a great way to go if you only 1 vehicle.
@@RoseDouglasTravelwithUsExplore and what route you used to return?
Upington then Kimberley
Thanks for another great video. And a special thanks for the lock protection tip. We will be trying it on our KTP trip.
Our pleasure. Glad you enjoyed it.
Lovely Rose and Arthur so peaceful
Thank you. That is why we love camping there.
There is no Rooiputs Pride .. The Dynamics change every month about at Rooiputs >> different Coalitions >> We are at Rooiputs for 10 Nights as from next week so hopefully we will see the 2 big current males there .. Leave anything like a Trail camera outside at night >> asking for trouble as you found out
That is the Polentswa pride. We have seen them there for the last couple of years. The old male has been ousted. A trail camera is to see what is going on at night, is it not?
We use 2 x Coke Bottles for a shower << Now our 4x4 Summit Everest Trailer has the Geyser and Shower with Mixer etc but we still use the Coke Bottles in Kgalagadi as we dont want to fill our 200 Litre Tanks under the trailer with Brak Water
Kousant nearby has the rare Spotted Hyena in a den 5kms into Bots
Is this Campsite 2??I see its 3
Polentswa 3
They have some big vultures,
Big beautiful lion and liones, the sky so heavenly, thank you for sharing
Our pleasure. Glad you enjoyed it.

Beautiful sky
Rose I just love those meerkats, we used to have them on our farm! That lion roar 👏
They were so cute.... That lion roar shook the ground. It was so quiet only him. So beautiful to experience
It varies week by week
The Road Morth to Nossob and further North from Melkvle Northwards is way worse than the Auob Mata Mata Road >> did it last week and again in 3 weeks time after 10 nights at Rooiputs
Thanks again. Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧.
Thank you for sharing. We will be visiting for 7 nights in November as part of a 4 week road trip from the UK. It will be our first visit so super excited.
You will enjoy. One of our favourite places.
great episode, how are you finding the R7?
Thank you. Enjoying the R7 but battling a bit with autofocus.
The cubs look very full! 😊
Yes they are compared to a couple of days before. They could hardly walk, but wobbed along 😂
Loved that leopard!
He is gorgeous isnt he? we were so lucky to see him there. Not expected at all.
Great footage the babies lions, cheethas, the scenery was Amazing, Thank you for sharing enjoyed
Glad you enjoyed it
@@RoseDouglasTravelwithUsExplore very welcome
What was 2 Rivers Like?? Been to look but never stayed >> far better to stay there than the City camp of Twee Rivieren
It is very nice and quiet. Not much shade and no water so be self-sufficient.
3 more weeks then 8 nights at Rooiputs and 12 at Mata Mata
I see the Grass is LONG after rain >> Hopefully its a bit open in places for my Photography
Enjoy. They have had rain so should be good.
Peter, how did you get 8 nights at Rooiputs?
where did you get your table from?
My son made 2 and gave us one many years ago
My son made 2 and gave us one. Many years ago 😂
Bit all over the place without commentary. Hard to follow.
神よ、ナミビア砂漠に樹木をお授け下さい‼️
The Rhinos have their horns unlike Kruger ?
Very beautiful but looks like snake country?
Never seen a snake there...
@@RoseDouglasTravelwithUsExplore I grew up on the South Coast amongst plenty of snakes . We have been to most of the National parks and have seen snakes in all of them , our last stay in one , was Bontebok and sitting on our veranda, right in front of us , out of the beautiful manicured lawn two massive cobras appeared . The gold one sped off down to the river and the other , olive one , withdrew his periscope head in a hurry and I kid you not , a puff adder appeared at some speed for a puff adder , and crossed right in front of us ! We had two further sightings on our short stay 😳
Wow we are lucky then. We have had quite a few cobras and puff adders in the Kgalagadi, but never in any other camps. In Botswana we have had a couple but not even in Kruger. 😅
I love the unscripted interaction between you guys. Is that a car mount for your camera in the back? And I though May month was a shoulder month with great temperatures :(
Thank you so much. May in the Kgalagadi can get pretty cold whereas in Kruger it is likely to be much warmer. Yes the car mount we ordered from Amazon.co.uk. It is a Neewer. My husband made the bits over the doorsill and screwed them onto it.
Lovely down to earth video.
Thank you so much
another great video as always, how do you know the names of all these Leopards?
Thank you for that. I post the pics on FB Knp leopards of Malelane group. They then identify them. Otherwise for higher up leopards the KNP leopard group.
@@RoseDouglasTravelwithUsExplore or nice, I will follow the groups as well. Thanks
Kochamy Casperka, jest piękny, biały,kochany !!! Niech nam żyje w zdrowiu przez następne lata. My Polacy go kochamy !!!
What a beautiful presentation, from the sightings to the commentary to the bits of very fitting music and also the birds singing and nature sounds...overall spectacular presentation...thank you!
So glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for your kind words. ❤
Have you had a problem at all with the mattress, we have recently bought a Kewer and we battle to fit the mattress onto the bed platform. Thanks
Hi, it is not easy but we manage. When we make the bed I stand on the outside and my husband on the inside and we make it like that. We use an XL and XD queen sheet from WW or Mr Price.
What a fantastic series. We really like your chats and commentary during the videos plus the photos are fantastic as well. Thanks for sharing and feeding our Kruger addiction! We hope to be able to go back to our happy place in the future. Karl & Alison
Thank you so much for your kind comments. They mean a lot to us.
You guys have the best job in the world. Being around all of GODS creatures must be awesome day after day. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us it's truly an uplifting and spiritual journey
Thank you so much. We are very privileged 😊

Thank you so very much for your kind comments. Glad you enjoyed it. 😊
Awesome! We saw the same hyena cubs, they were so cute. I love hyenas
There were do many. They are so cute 😊
Nice amount of Oxpeckers on the Rhino
Baie mooi.
Baie dankie
Fabulous sightings!
Thank you ❤
I love the sightings in the South and think it is worth it. But everybody to their own, hey
I Hate the Traffic of the South >> My current South Gate is Phalaborwa Gate >> there are more cars than Impala South of the Olifants River
Casper same like Tank always loner..Love to see casper, casanova, footlose and mfowethu together again..
Those lions look like the Central Satara pride. There should be 5 lionesses, 3 subadults and 1 cub.
They are from satara but they consist of Casper and his 3 brothers.
Satara pride has 3 new cubs now as well.
For sure😂
❤❤❤❤
I had to like it when i heard the lion king song. Thank you for the video
