You built in Utah?

Well. . . not to be a naysayer, but they are a long way from finished and he left out costs that would have already taken place at this point in the build, like electrical, AC, plumbing, permitting, inspections and in some cases things like impact fees. So where I live the way it sits now is probably closer to $160k. And of course, they will need to finish out the entire interior. And, the garage is not usually included in the square footage of the home or at least not the "under air" area. I don't know enough about it to say if it is going to be cheaper in the end than regular construction, but for a home you live in, it sure is uglier.

I need this "shell building".

Love the space and the height of the building. Now would it be possible to cover the outside with white paint or even wood? Or put walls wooden walls inside the building?

$60k for a 2,500sq ft building, not 5,000sq ft. If you’re going to live in a metal building, build it out of red iron/ I beams.

Is there a floor plan?

I live in hurricane country, don’t know if this would be good in my region. Meanwhile the 8 foot second story is claustrophobic to me. I’d probably go 9 feet on each floor giving up a foot on the first floor.

Better option is to have a 22 foot eaves with 13-14 foot bottom section to fit car lifts in it, alongside an 6-8 foot top floor with open ceiling... And with the peak your looking at 10-13 foot ceilings in it anyways (27-28 foot peak depending on roof pitch) Love the color and this is EXACTLY what I'm looking to do

Like & subscribed. Just watched 2 videos so far & like the look & simplicity of these style of homes . the way you finish around the outside for no water,bugs,rodents seems right. You mentioned galvalume on the other 50x50x20 video.I’ve worked with that before and think it’s the only way to go up top in the warmer climates . Looks good & makes sense. Also ,you said you liked questions & to get plenty of insolation quotes. I’ve got plenty but for now, I’m wondering about the insulation and thermal bridging situation.Im guessing that Both projects were 2”closed cell .both being in the same area/state .Is there 1 main brand or is there a particular product that you like best .?& would you say that this 1500sq’ home was a little on the higher end with much less to cover/material used ,or the 50x50x20 was a better price because workers were there set up & spraying so they just got more of a volume deal?IMHO ,bottom line is this that if you like the look & feel of this kind of home ,there seems to be a lot of pros & not as many cons. That I can see. I do wonder if you have seen any problems with condensation?or any other issues you can think of.the house in this video would be just about perfect for myself & my daughter. I would like to work with some real genuine people like yourself.we’re over in NC (Carthage 28327 ,Sandhills area with some humidity,haven’t been to Texas yet but theres some similarities with climate & proximity to the coast ect. therefore the condensation question).You did mention several states,a dozen I believe. how would this building hold up to the elements? You know mainly like tornados and hurricanes? So, you're looking more around $150k give or take? with the pad and the insulation and the building. This does not include electric and plumbing. And the remainder of the interior of the building. Something to think about people.

$59k for metal building shell is way over priced . Total build cost for a completely finished house will be north of $250,000

Land cost? Septic? Water? Electric plus 60,000 for shell to start inside

It is $15-$20/sqft to install the slab, and the building. So, the shell is $59k, and 2500sqft x $17.50 = $43,750 to install everything in this video. Total, in what they have in this video, it is $103k +/- $5k. Then to build all the walls, install a septic system, water, electric, everything, including all finished materials, when you are done you will be sitting at about $100/sqft finished, so overall costs, once everything is completed, depending on how big of a garage they are going to have, let's say 1250sqft on bottom level, and 2500sqft above, they are looking at about $350-$375k for the total build. So, don't let all of this fool you. It costs the same as a stick built home...
