Dying with eyes open - Experimental Short Film
Walking through the streets of my hometown until the early hours of the morning, I captured videos of barren locations, and imagined what lay behind the darkness:
The elderly, forgotten before death with the last remnants of light dying in their eyes. They all stared at me, desperate to be seen. This felt cruel, my inability to give them what they wanted. However, I know they still exist out there somewhere. We're just blinded by light, when that dies for us too, I’m sure we’ll see them again.

Definitely one of the better short films regardless of budget. The soundtrack really creates a myriad of emotions, and the actor is photogenic. Disturbing yet calming.

Stands solid on it's own, but with a crew of 3 and zero budget boosts it up a bit because of the extra work it took to get there.

At first thought, I want to say that this film is an absolute masterpiece. It is perfectly composed, and the entire experience really works. Here is true talent and foresight. The atmosphere is BRILLIANT. That being said, am I correct in saying that the 'glitches' in the doll and in our young character's hand is a reference to this being all virtual reality? Or, does it represent a distortion of what the character sees as reality? I want more, here. There is so much more to portray. Please make it happen. I subscribed immediately.

Good question, is it virtual reality, cause what does she eat? She has a backpack full of toys and other random items. But no food or water that I could see I think

I'm sure that the doll is considered a best friend to the young lady. I know that many ladies from around the world, young and old, have doll friends. Great video! Sometimes, it's pretty intense, though the forest seems friendly. I hope so! ❤️🙂

That girl is way too old to be believably playing with dolls. Otherwise, this is cool.
It's clear she has experienced a traumatic event and playing with dolls can be a coping mechanism.
I'm 42 years old with quite a lot of action figures. Despite having a family and a 6 year old son. Not all people are the same. Also she's alone, so a doll makes sense as a friend.
