Hi I found your video interesting. Can I ask you something if you might know on dust collectors. I’m looking at the AXMINSTER WORKSHOP AW145CE CYCLONE DUST EXTRACTOR - 230V. I have a 16ft x 10ft workshop still in progress. I know some people will say it’s to big for size but I need something to attach to my table saw my thicknesser planer (called death trap) bandsaw and hopefully later on a lathe and bigger bandsaw and a better thicknesser planer if I can fit it in. Would you be able to give me some advice on dust collection im still a beginner just coming up to 3 years on building sh3d on inside but my health got hit hard wi5h 2 strokes,y rheumatoid arthritis has had constant flair ups. So any advice or suggestions would be most appreciated Cheers Steve 👨🏼🦽👨🏼🦽
A really useful video, thank you 😃
why not show how to use it?
800 for a dewalt now😮 thats mad, definately overpriced, it realy is only good for rough work, for a grand you could pick a cabinet saw up, the new hammer k2m looks great, yes its 1400 but if you are serious about your woodworking its worth getting good quality tools up front , you will only sell the cheaper tools down the line to upgrade anyway. If you are pn a budget id ignore the dewalt and look at the rutlands or evolution saws if the lumberjack doesnt suit.
Mad the price of them now , I bought one brand new think it was about 5yrs ago maybe , sold it within about two months , absolutely hated it sounded as if it was a boeing 747 taking off in the workshop 🤣 , same with the old DeWalt planet I had , then I checked the prices of them ,they've more than doubled 😬
What do you expect for the price , you always get someone to moan moan moan this is supposed to be a review of the router not you going round and round a piece of wood ,sorry a rubbish review
That Lumberjack saw looks like the Bosch GTS10J, like identical. Subframe, fence everything looks the same. I see the LJ version has a 2000W motor vs the 1800 for the Bosch. The subframe looks like it’s missing the little tab to hook onto the (very handy) floor stand but that’s the only visible clue to any difference. My Bosch saw is such a little workhorse but it’s getting on a bit and if this LJ saw is basically a Bosch underneath…. well wouldn’t that be fantastic.
Morning Jeff, nice to see this great video . Thanks for the video and all of your advice on woodwork uk .
I'm considering a lumberjack table saw.(Not the one you are showing) I was just wondering if you wanted to upgrade it to make a better cut to buy freud blades? I have done this on my festool plunge saw and my dewalt mitre saw. The cut seems to be much better. I am going to be making kitchen counter tops and cabinets, plus wardrobe beds ect. The other option I thought of was to get the festool 85 circular saw and guide rails and connectors. Basically I have got to the stage where I need to upgrade my tools for something that will be more heavy duty. I am in a flat so I am limited to space and there is the issue of how you get a cast iron table saw that weighs 75kg up a number of stairs. Same problem when trying to find a bandsaw. Got to think of the weight of it on the joists.😂
Hey Jeff good saw review, pity I'm not still in the UK. BTW, considering how long it's been since I saw you last, you hair is doing rather well, thought you'd have a wide parting by now ;-)
Well done Jeff great vid the discussion of cheap and expensive will never go away but non the less you tackled it very well I use the evolution saw and find it far better than a lot of the cheaper ones once dialled in it’s perfect. As for lumberjack tools I use the BDE 1200 vac absolutely top notch but the router table leaves a lot to be desired keep up the great work my friend
I've got the lumberjack extractor too. Superb. Especially if you add 3m of soil pipe 😉👍
I’ve got lumberjack tools never let me down I’ve got the ts1800 table saw very nice bit of kit a bench drill mitersaw nail gun hand planer 4” sander 1/2” router and some others other than the thermal protection kicking in on table saw there’s nothing that is wrong with them. I’m looking at putting a router into the table saw. I’m still learning a newbie still fitting out my shed trying to build benches for first time but can’t fault them lumberjack customer service is second to none next day delivery I give them 150 out of 10. But I’m just starting out working with wood I want to get a lathe to try turning
Your number
Hii
Hello we’re can I get the owl pattern from please. Much appreciated……Mike.
But I can’t find your latest stuff!
I lost your channel. I followed you a few years ago just until you moved back to Poland. I couldn’t remember the channel name So I typed Tomasz. Woodwork. Poland. & hey presto! Gaotcha!
Very nice thank you for sharing Best Regards Patrick
Hi is there any clamps you could recommend cheers
Hi. Looks simple enough to lay. You did a good job. What tools would you recommend?....can the tiles be cut with a Stanley knife?
Wouldn't the title be better off switch to saying *rotary tool*
I bought mine a few days ago. I plan to assemble it tomorrow. Thank you for showing this
superb and thank you - VERY new to this and have just started woodworking (late 40s) will let you know the method I use and get on with!
I’ve been looking for a simple, basic how-to video for bandsaw boxes and, gladly, I’ve now found it! Great video. Thank you!
Outstanding! I clicked right through about a dozen bandsaw box videos before watching this one in its entirety. I have a nice lathe and a small bandsaw to work with, not five thousand dollars' worth of table saws, planers, and jointers to prep stock with before making the first cut. I particularly liked the small 2-inch ring box you presented towards the end of the video. Thank you for the info, and for sharing your thoughts and ideas!
Spraying some nasty herbicide next week and was looking for a review of these to make sure they cupped the eyes, nice to see a 2 minute review to the point, not having to sit through 8 minutes of waffle before the review starts 👍
Hi ! Il franch are we protect fron dust ? Warhammer this glasses ?
After 30min got hot and stopped. Can’t get it to work since. Waste of money.
I wonder if the Marita plunge base would fit the katsu.
Bit Types and speed?
It's so hard to find any UK-based TH-cam woodworking channels. Nice to find this one. Do any of you know any more worth watching?
I feel the same, its always american channels ,where they speak to their viewers like children or they over produce their content likenits on tv. im british and im thinking about buy this so i want a no nonsense bloke like this, using the tool and giving me his thoughts on its practical applications, not an episode of some glossy melodramatic soap drama.
@@J0b0baggins Also, they generally talk about using scraps of walnut etc. They have access to wood that is prohibitively expensive here in the UK.
@@J0b0baggins have you seen @10MinuteWorkshop
Check on: Rag 'n' Bone Brown. He is not super professional woodworker but still very decent.

Is that another one mounted on the right :0 they gave you two?
Very interesting

👍👍
Thanks that's awesome
How can you be using that saw if it's been banned?
How much price your secanhand bansaw now
Great tip
Thanks for that demo Pam. I've looked at bandsaw boxes for years, but always shied away from making any. May have a go now. Best regards.
cheap junk
I've purchased that router for two reasons, the brand + that video and I'm loving it, I've chamfered the edges on a block of mild cheddar that I found in the fridge and now all my neighbours want me to do theirs as well. I felt naughty and experimented with multiple bits on multiple types of cheese so I can proudly say that this router is a must have to set up a good cheese board! PS I've tried it on some ply and mdf and it was well disappointing, bad balance and a rubbery/flexi pad are not a good combo. Personally I'd stick to the bosch 1/4 trimmer instead of that trend
Would paint thinner work?
Great video! LUV the music!
Try the best carpenters and woodworkers plans. Woodprix.
For beginners, Bosch used to do a brilliant green diy router - had one for 30 years, maybe still do. Picked up a T4 yesterday for light work but the 8mm shank capacity should allow some medium level shaping and using Peter Millard's floating tenon jig while not lugging round the heavy duty DeWalt. Think I'll buy a budget set of 8mm cutters and see how it copes. It's clearly built down to a price but looks up to what I want it for. 9 months later: tiny innocuous knock had On/Off Lever (part 19) fly off. It's very fiddly to put back - ran out of time trying to fix it and been too busy to finish the job. April 2022 - time out due to health. Just checked and it's still in guarantee but have to arrange and pay for the postage. But have to say that the quality of parts and assembly was very poor. I had to clean up all machine screws by running them through quality nuts and grease them - all had sharp edges and struggled to turn before I worked on them. All metal parts were ragged edged. The On/Off Lever should not flip off like it did - unless it was never on properly in the first place. Like Evolution and Erbauer, quality control is random at this price point so you can get lucky or you get a dog.
