@@dezlarner6611 Hi. Town Council Facebook and website. Also Townhall will have posters displayed.
Keep up the good work, thank you very much for documenting things and letting the world know "Hey, hello, we exist too"
Thank you we will
Nice video, I could see my house.
Same as me 🙂
Autumn 🍂 looks amazing from this perspective! Your shots 🍁 are so inspiring. Fall is my favorite season, which I try to showcase in my drone videos 🚁 Great work! 🤩
thought you was going on an actual pub crawl , im coming down on saturday 19.10,24 to do a real one, solo in the ones that are still open. Thanks for a few ideas,
Are there any pubs in Faversham that are actually OPEN?
Yes quite a few
I wanna know the nature of your costume!
This year, our carnival float was all about community-celebrating those who’ve lived in Faversham all their lives and warmly welcoming those who are new to our town. We wanted to bring a little bit of local history to life, combined with a song that perfectly captures the spirit of inclusion and friendship.
Nice one Dean
Have a shave mate.u look better on the pub crawl 😂😂😂 another good vid mate
Nice pub crawl mate can u brush ya hair next time 😂😂😂
Great video. I live on the isle of sheppey and unfortunately a pub desert after so many have closed. I frequent Faversham regularly by train to drink in its many pubs, unfortunately some have closed but still remains a great town for pubs and can actually do a proper pub crawl unlike so many towns these days many of the buildings you featured I was unaware that they were once pubs so your video was very enlightening and I shall look out for them on my next visit. Such a shame so many have gone as I bet they were cracking places in their heyday, so many pubs been destroyed of character but luckily Faversham still has some excellent unspoilt boozers. Cheers 🍺🍺🍺👍
My late father in law built the large house next to the cottages where Bernard Lee lived.
Another very informative walk, thanks Dean!
Great video! I visit the church often to meditate. I have been told that Pheasant farm (and the beautiful house!) is owned by Robert Neame (owner of Shepherd Neame). I've also (allegedly) been into the railway tunnel once a few years ago to explore myself.
My family lived in Holmside in the late 60's early 70's. Spent a lot of time with Bernard Lee.
Being a "War Baby", I was brought up by my Nan and Grandad in Bysing Wood Cottages, the first one of 4 coming from Oare. Grandad's Local was "The Windmill" pub but occasionally "The Castle". Grandad used to be friends with Dodger Flood from Uplees Farm who also used the Windmill, and I had many a Vimto and Smith's Crisps with the little salt packet in there on a Sunday Lunch time. I can't remember The Castle much though. On a few Saturday Evenings, when the weather and the tide was right, you could go to Harty Ferry and a bloke would row you across The Swale to the Isle of Sheppey for a drink or two in the Ferry Inn. That was a big adventure for young kids in those days. I started school at Luddenham and remember telling Nan to go back home 'cos I knew the way. We made Raffia Mats and Coasters in Art lessons to give as presents at Christmas and Birthdays. I got moved on to Ashford to live with Mum & Dad for the first time ever at about 9 years old, and I'm 83 now, but I still have a great affection for the Oare, Luddenham & Faversham area. Always will I'm sure. P.S. Somewhere, out in Bysing Woods, I buried an old Tobacco Tin containing a 3d coin and other Childhood Treasures under the moss at the base of an Oak Tree. I wonder if anybody has ever found it in the 70+ years since I hid it? Happy, Happy Days.
Thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour and narration. Thank you.😀
❤ Our pleasure!

Credit where credits due. OH yes I hadn't thought of there. Despite being a DFL I've had connections with Faversham since the late 60's, love the place.

The turnover of shops is so fast
the nice shiney green one near thw end of the clip looks like an Austin Champ is it?
not sure
Nice place.
So exciting - my Dad was born in Graveney.
I'm sorry but editing to half second clips might seem trendy, but it's utter crap. A great pity as you spoiled what could have been a lovely video.
Gunpowder mill was Macnade Garden Centre, owned by Robert Brigen which was sold and people used the land as a car wash.
Before the gunpowder mills it was a car wash, had been abandoned for a while too. Have photos if you want to see them just let me know. Before the car wash I’m not 100% sure but I think it might have been garden centre Also that road after the closed gate, you could have stayed on it is public footpath, would take you under motorway bridge next to train line and back around to footpath next to motorway. There was another footpath in the field you were in also that leads to an old pedestrian bridge over motorway that is a nice walk.
When I was 15years old there was a garage both sides of the A2 where the gunpowder mill is now.
Good one Dean I thought you would enjoy that one. I will carry your tripod for you next time for you next time if you like
