the legacy of war in lebanon: stories from the past, lessons for today
มุมมอง 1172 หลายเดือนก่อน
lebanon is known for many things: the food, the mountains, the nightlife - but it's # export is patriotic nationals. despite the political, economic, and social unrest, one thing every lebanese person will tell you is how great lebanon is. i grew up hearing all kinds of stories from my parents' childhood in lebanon, filled with laughter and love. it wasn't until i got a little older that i bega...
this book is changing my life (choose your pain, take back control, want it more) | in my 20s ep. 4
มุมมอง 4563 หลายเดือนก่อน
hi my lovelies!!! so ive been reading this book: 101 essays that will change the way you think - and it actually is (shockingly). Im usually not a fan of self-help, I never seem to finish a book because its sometimes just toxic positivity disguised as a 'prescribed solution' or its really not applicable in practical daily life... but not this book. I LOVE this book! so originally, I was going t...
prep & come to grad with me (a final mcgill university vlog) | in my 20's ep. 3
มุมมอง 2853 หลายเดือนก่อน
omg this is so crazy how time passed so fast!!! I keep getting more cliche but all of it is so true. its sad how underwhelming all of this is because it really is a great accomplishment. I remember being in 10th grade and getting my first mcgill merch, I used to dream about how this experience would shape me and what kind of person I would come out as at the end of it all. I hadnt realized how ...
you're not lazy, you're overstimulated (& what to do about it) | food for thought ep. 1
มุมมอง 3.3K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
all you need to do is turn off the noise and turn up the PASSION. it really starts with your belief in yourself that YOU ARE NOT LAZY. I went to watch a comedy show for the first time, I didn't know there were different acts before the main show. this one comedian came up, and she was funny at first. three lines in I realized she's not making any jokes, she's just self-deprecating - and its act...
a post-grad rest *life after mcgill* (identity crisis, burnout, advice, mindset) | in my 20's ep. 2
มุมมอง 6264 หลายเดือนก่อน
graduating university is a huge accomplishment, and it is honestly very freeing. but us post-grads all know what comes straight after - a feeling of confusion and in-betweenness. allow me to be cliche for a second - but dont let life happen to you, let it happen for you. becoming your genuine, best, most aligned self becomes so easy once you look inward and go back to your intentions. you're in...

what if you don't party (drink etc), will you fit in? how do you find non drinkers?
100%! There is a community for everyone. Personally, I don’t go out much and there is always things for me to do and people for me to do them with :) I made a lot of friends at uni through mcgill clubs and in class, I think it’s super important to get involved on campus!
Hi pretty! May i know the tution fee for masters in bioresource engineering at McGill????? For international students.
Hi hi🥰 I don’t know exactly but this website will help you get a good estimate: www.mcgill.ca/student-accounts/tuition-charges/fallwinter-term-tuition-and-fees/graduate-fees
Everytime I go to Montreal (from far in the suburbs), I feel I'm in a mix of Mad Max and Blade Runner. Today the traffic was so f#$#@ed, they had police officers turning manually the traffic lights. Why would anybody live in this hellscape is beyond me. 50km out of Montreal is where the good life begins. And no I don't care having my grocery store by walk. I prefer not having meth addicts outside my house. To live in Montreal, you have to love to suffer and overpay for everything.
Girl yes be honest about the screen time!! So many of us are not phone-people, and then all of the sudden be on it for hours !! It's so comforting to see someone being real on here thank you ❤
Thanks for your support! 🥹🥹❤️❤️
This was so good!
Thanks eman🥰🥰
Where is the best neighborhoods that aren’t very French?

It’s so crazy that you’re graduating!! I started watching your channel from your video anglophones in mtl because I was considering applying to mcgill and now I’m going there in the fall and you just graduated!! Good luck to whatever you’re doing after grad will def miss your mcgill vlogs 💗💗
Omg!! This message made me so emotional 🥺🥺🥺 When I first moved here I wanted to help people by sharing the things I was learning, and I feel like this moment is so full circle!! Im so excited for you, and I hope you have the BEST mcgill experience ❤️ I love you thank you for supporting me throughout this journey, TRULY
Congrats Yas!!!
YASMEEN, very random question but would you say it was hard for you to adjust to a very different community and culture than that of what you're used to? Me personally, a factor thats holding me back from going McGill is from everyone telling me theres like no brown people there and you'll be so far from family and stuff like that. I got McGill Soft Eng so idk if not taking it is a dumb move.
I need help with applying from abroad, please 🙏
i loved this! period u were talking that talk
Hy yasmeen ! I wanted to know how to get in mdcm being an international student . Could you please help me by telling me admission requirements. I have alreasy visited the website but facing some issues. Is there any medium to contact you ? Email or something . It would be really helpful. I am trying hard for this .

lovveeeee YOU mim ❤🩹❤🩹
aaa thank you for this, this is how I felt after working an internship right after grad. It left me confused and I was so impatient to move on to the next one after it ended. Whilst everyone around me seems like they’re progressing into their careers, I’m glad got some time where I could reconnect with my past self and rediscover my love for the hobbies I once loved, during this time. Obviously getting another job is the plan and the goal and a need of the hour but i’m also trying to be more patient and not spiral during the job search. Grad left me feeling lost and I am glad to know that i’m not alone.
Kinda; hard to take someone seriously who constantly falls back on - "Don't Get me Wrong!", "It's just my Opinion"! - and...."BLAH, BLAH BLAH!! - is Language your 2nd Language?!
❤❤❤❤❤
