Anywayz, not trying to side eye him, but if he's trying for the prestigious awards lane, then Wesley should be given Blade back. No offense, but we saw Eternals being too intellectual. Of course I think it was dissed for sexism and racism, but it was too much. Watchmen was too much for me. Those actions scenes better be plenty and good. .... Sad situation now, b/c I like Wesley and Wesley was disrespected in Blade 3 and I don't think anyone realizes that. What if Iron Man or Captain America got pushed aside in their 3rd film? Everyone would be mad. But Mahershala needs to be given proper treatment too. I think he's doing Jurassic Park so I'm excited for that!!!

No one asked for She-Hulk or Agatha and yet we got both. Since they announced Blade it has been five years and they still haven't made any good progress on the production of the movie. Marvel never had any intention of making Blade, they said Mahershala Ali went to them to ask for a Blade movie, Marvel didn't go to Mahershala Ali. That's why Marvel is doing everything they can to delay the making of a Blade movie. Marvel didn't like the fact that a BLACK man came to them and told them whay to do. CAUCASIANS don't like to be told what to do by BLACK people and because a BLACK man like Mahershala had the audacity to tell them what to do, they are doing everything they can do sabotage Blade and cause Mahershala to leave by frustrating him with their constant delays. For whatever reason Marvel does not seem to have any intention of portraying BLACK people in a positive and powerful light, just look at how they turned Kang into a joke that got beat by ants. Just because these Hollywood studios harp on being inclusive we make the mistake of thinking they care about BLACK people, they don't. They only harp on about inclusivity because it's the fashionable thing to do, it's not because they care about treating non CAUCASIAN people fairly and positively. If Marvel continues to engage in anti-BLACK shenanigans, I hope Marvel crashes and burns and goes bankrupt.

Also Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool alone has more than a billion and a half in box office revenue from the number one position. They said no initially because of the push for the m she u, but after phase 4 fell on its face and everything started underperforming, I'm sure they were more open to giving in. How many 500 million dollar superhero movies has Mahershala Ali been the STAR of? He's a career supporting actor. That would be like them bending over backwards for Gary oldman or Stanley tucci, which they have never done, and will never do.

Mahersala better suited for DC Universe. Maybe Green Lantern or Martian Manhunter

They don't use(or use poorly)great black actors/characters and than turn white characters black for representation which causes a lot of push back. Not the best marketing strategy. This just happened in the Halo series, they took out Sgt. Johnson(probably the best "character" in the game", than turned Captain Keys black. Yes, it's cancelled now because they didn't do the franchise justice. What a waste of time.

The only color that matters in this situation is green. RDJ wasnt even the highest paid actor in Iron Man but he proved to Marvel that he has star power and he was the first actor to gross over a billion dollars for marvel in his own solo movie. Ryan Reynolds was considered damaged goods with his appearances in Green Lantern and Wolverine Origins, but he hustled with Deadpool and his Deadpool movies were very successful at the Box Office. Ali is coming into the situation having only one box office smasher as the star of his own movie and Blade is a B list character in the MCU. In the world of business, Ali doesnt have much leverage, especially with Snipes having a positive response to his cameo in Deadpool and Wolverine.

Possibly why there isnt much buzz for him, not to mention you have wesley around who is more than capable to continue blade, if you can have hugh come back to do a 20 year old character then you can have blade come back to reclaim his character after 25 years. Very difficult subject. Sometimes they over try to make a POC character a non stereotype and wind up making a mary sue overly perfect character and be dull.

So a couple things my guy. The whole "didnt know him" comment is due to Ali never being in a super hero role it has nothing to do with race. His role as Kottonmouth should count however he was a villain and a damn good one at that. Ali never actually showed up at the end of eternals we heard his voice never saw him on screen so kinda weird. Knowing that the actual gross amount for a film can be manipulated for blockbuster movies. How is the public supposed to know the real gross amount specifically for the Black Panther 1? I think Black Panther made more than 1.3 billion. Just imagine the whole world loved the movie, because it was very well made. For once it wasn't your average white male saviour garbage. The movie most likely made so much more than any movie ever made, not just in America but the whole world's film history. Bigger than Star Wars trilogy, Lord of the Rings trilogy., and any other movie. Probably not more than the other movies' trilogies combined. But certainly more than the first movies. Without a doubt was on the path to crushing the combined amount of the previous trilogies. But Disney literally killed off the star of Black Panther. So that the second would be a failure. Shiri is no Black Panther. Look how many other suitable male black actors and black female actors could of replaced Chadwick. But they choose Shiri who looks like a stick person in a cat suit. Flying blue aqua persons. Aquaman and his people weren't blue in the comics.

The definition of the Multiverse within the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the Marvel Comics clearly states that it is a collection of infinitely many alternate realities and dimensions. How can he be dead in all of those realities an dimensions at the same time. The Multiverse makes them look incompetent.

I'm late 30's, African blessed to have travelled and seen all sorts of culture and how diverse "blackness" keeping in mind black is a political term, and we're not black in Africa, we can't be polarised this way, we do have tribalism though. The way West Coast blacks and East Coast blacks in the States are so different, here in South Africa, travel 100km in any direction and you get so many diverse black cultures and I learned this in every African country I've been to thus far. Working in media (radio and as a designer) I'm engrossed in media, most of it from the West and yo, as far as "REPRESENTATION GOES" Western media "promoting" blacks and browns is TRASH!!! and this isn't an opinion. The only blacks we tend to get are criminals, relations of criminals, runaways, slaves, Carltons, all your black women have weaves and when they don't they're super strong and independent. DON'T ME WRONG the media in general is TRYING to justify bad behaviour especially for women with these recent Disney shows etc, pushing gender war etc so media is sucky in general but for "blacks"....nah man, let me speak arrogantly for Africans as a whole neh.
