They are too short for heat wrap. Stop putting heat wrap on them

There is no easy way as the primary tubes are so short they are just going to crack. Build block off plates so you can completely purge with inert gas while rewelding to prevent oxidation of the weld on the inside. If you are going to weld them on the inside. Create a sheetmetal box with a removable lid that you can bolt the collector to. Allowing you to purge the box and the outside of the header with inert gas. To weld the inside you meed a lazy susan and magnets to allow you to indicate the tube center so you can spin the sheetmetal box while mig welding the inside like a line bore welding machine.. You may need to create an extended mig tip or curved tip extension to let you get deep in the collector . There are several stainless wire alloys or machineable nickel rod that might be a better weld. A copper pipe fitting might be slit to shrink it slightly to wedge into the tube allowing you more heat in the weld without blowing thru. Lastly. Change that ignition coil. I bet if you open the hood in the dark you will see ting high voltage arcs stealing your spark peak voltage creating misfires that have confounded you.

I have a better solution than wrapping your headers with header wrap. Just don’t do it. The one and only time that I’ve ever done it I was itching for like a week. I HATE that stuff!!

I am only guessing but if you have a mean cam with big overlap. Mybe you get ignition fire in your exoust. Does the headers glow red i the dark. I am not an expert but i find your problem intresting.
